1. Abstract
The Ver.B cabinets and internal parts will be in the end of marketing (EOM). The DBS3900 (AC)
Ver.D cabinets will be sold to replace the Ver.B cabinets. This PCN is intended for customers using Huawei
DBS3900 (AC) Ver.B cabinets.
The last date for purchase of the Ver.B cabinets is June 30, 2013 and the last date for supply of Ver.B
cabinet is December 31, 2013.

There is one type for APM30H/TMC11H/IBBS200D/T in Ver.D cabinets. Customer can use Ver.D to
replace the current version of cabinets.

Note 1:To replace Ver.B cabinets with the same maximum configuration of 6 RRU, the Ver.D cabinets can
work normal with the same BTS software version. But if the enhanced configuration of Ver.D need be used
like supporting 12 RRU, the BTS software version should be upgraded.

6. BOM Code Change
(1) Ver.B cabinets and parts will be in the EOM and be replaced by Ver.D..
(2) The new release has all the functions of current version and better performance. The Ver.B can support 6
RRU(2*40W) at maximum. The Ver.D supports 6 RRU(2*60W) at maximum without BTS software
upgrading. The Ver.D also supports 12 RRU(2*60W) with one DCDU-12B added at 1U user space in
APM30H after BTS software is upgraded. The Ver.D cabinet supports two BBU in one APM30H also.

The changed parts include the Heat Exchanger, fan tray, TEC and DCDU.etc. The external size and
installing of new cabinet are the same as old one.
The Ver.D cabinet improves the capacity of power supply, heat dissipation and cabling. It has all the
functions of the Ver.B cabinet and better performance instead. The Ver.D cabinet supports two BBU,
The Cooling capability from 700W to 1500W in one APM30H or TMC11H .
The cabinet version info can be acquired by OMC remotely or be seen on the nameplate in the cabinet
on site.

9.1 The change of Heat Exchanger and interal Fan tray in APM30H and TMC11H
(A) The air vent areas are enlarged for the internal heat exchanger on the door of APM30H/TMC11H
Ver.D cabinet. But the external size of the door keeps the same as the Ver.B still.
The external fan type and Heat exchanger core are changed from Ver.B cabinet to Ver.D cabinet.
The external fan type is the same between APM30H/TMC11H Ver.D.
(B) The fan tray is changed from FAN 02A to FAN 02D. The air outlet position is changed from top to
bottom.
The HPMI board is cancelled to make the monitor cable connection simple on the new fan tray.
“TEM_BAT1 ”
The “GATE” and interfaces are supported directly in PMU11A module for APM30H.
The other internal reserved interfaces are cancelled to avoid wrong connection.

When Ver.D APM30H cabinet replace the Ver.B cabinet, the EPU05A-03 (220V AC) or
EPU05A-05 (110V AC) replace the EPS 01B (220V AC) or EPS 01D (110V AC) of embedded
power system. The height is 1U only for PSU and PMU in new version cabinet. The old PSU and
PMU are 2U high. upgraded the highest efficiency from 91% to 96%.
APM30H Ver.D supports 5 PSU at maximum. Three PSU can be managed in Ver.D cabinet like
Ver.B cabinet with the same BTS software. The BTS software need be upgraded if four or five
PSU need be used in Ver.D cabinet to support 12 RRU.
Remark: The height is 1U only for PSU and PMU in new version cabinet. The old PSU and PMU
are 2U high.

Remark: There are three spare fuses of 30A in the right of new DCDU.
(C) The change of the input connection to support the parallel connection of 2 route 16mm2 cables.
(D) The change of output connectors to benefit installing. Plugging or unplugging the connector can
power on or off the load of the new version DCDU.
(E) For new version DCDU, No supply the DC SPD ALARM Connector.

external cable interfaces keeps the same.
