3g of urea (molar mass=60g/mol) per 250g of water.

4) A 10cm3 sample of human urine was found to have 5 milligrams of urea on analysis.
Calculate the molarity of the given sample with respect to urea. (molar mass of urea=60)

1) 4g of NaOH is contained in one decilitre of a solution. Calculate the following in this


solution:
(i) mole fraction of NaOH
(ii)molality of NaOH
(iii)molarity of NaOH. (density of NaOH solution is 1.038g/cm3).

2) Calculate the molality of 1 litre solution of 93% H2SO4(weight/volume). The density


of the solution is 1.84g/mL.

3) Concentrated sulphuric acid has a density of 1.9g/ml and is 99% H2SO4 by weight.
Calculate the molarity of H2SO4 in this acid.

4) Calculate the mole fraction of ethanol and water in a sample of rectified spirit which
contains 95 percent of ethanol by weight.
