ABSTRACT

It is nearly an ideal opportunity for Christmas Eve 12 PM mass when Basilio subtly advances

toward the woodland recently possessed by the Ibarra family. He doesn't need anybody to see him.

Review that thirteen years had passed since he covered his mom, Sisa, in that equivalent woodland.

Thirteen years prior, he was pursued as a criminal alongside his sibling Crispin (presently dead). In the

Noli Me Tangere, Padre Salvi was after these two sacristans. In the El Fili, Padre Salvi still uses impressive

force. No big surprise Basilio needs to stay quiet. In the woods is a stream, close to which is a little slope,

past which was a space encased by disintegrating dividers. In the focal point of this is a balete tree, and

close to it is a heap of stones–Sisa's plain grave. Basilio agonizingly recalls that evening thirteen years

prior when Sisa didn't remember him (she was insane around then). She passed on in the woods and a

more odd (Elias?) came and requested Basilio to construct a burial service fire. At the point when Basilio

returned with the wood, he saw one more abnormal (Ibarra?); the main outsider had passed on. This

subsequent outsider aided Basilio place the dead odder on the fire and furthermore assisted Basilio with

covering his mom, Sisa.

ANALYSIS

A. Chapter Title “BASILIO”

Basilio takes out of the house at 12 PM and heads to the old wood recently claimed by the

Ibarras, and now having a place with Capitan Tiago. He visits his mom's grave by the balete tree and
reviews the night thirteen years back when his mom passed on the spot and an outsider came and

assisted him with covering his mom and consume the body of another stranger. Basilio recalls too on the

occasions of his life from that point forward. He had endured craving and privation in his excursion to

Manila looking for business, until he was taken in as an unpaid worker at Capitan Tiago's home in return

for consent to examine. Poor and gravely dressed, he was disregarded by his colleagues and overlooked

by his educators, so he couldn't make an imprint in his initial three years. With proceeded with

steadiness and difficult work nonetheless, he ultimately separated himself in his investigations and

proceeded to contemplate medication. In two months, Basilio is set to finish his clinical examinations

and will cover his scholarly profession as beginning speaker. He intends to wed Juli.

B. Interpretation of your Junior High School Teacher for this Chapter

I remember when I’m Junior High School, my teacher open this topic and she say that this

chapter Basilio secretly make his way to the forest previously owned by the Ibarra family. Because he

does not want anyone to see him. My teacher said it is so hurts because my teacher said if anyone don’t

want to see you it makes you feel down and you feel that nobody loving you.

C. Personal Reflection
My Personal reflection about in this chapter is Basilio's enslavement to education shows an

appreciation for wisdom. any kind of work as long as it is honorable is an entrance to finish school and

achieve the goals in life it takes perseverance, perseverance, and perseverance to learn. This chapter

also refutes the saying that what a tree is is its fruit. Basilio has good qualities as opposed to his father.

His mother died. A wounded man came. He was dragged by the burning wood to the corpse of his

mother and the wounded man. Another man came. He helped to chop wood and bury his mother. He

left the war. Exit Manila. The clothes are sick and torn. Wanted to run over in carriages because of

hardship and hunger. He found Captain Tiyago who had just taken Maria Clara to the beater. He was

hired as an assistant or servant. Studied in Letran. First year: he says nothing but his name and the word

ad sum or here it is. He was belittled because of his old and ragged clothes. However, he always

memorized the lesson. And when he finished three or four ways in his class, only 40 people asked, and

he did not feel bad. Upon examination, he answered the question to him and his mark for the first year

was approved. His nine test colleagues all repeated. Third year. Professor Dominiko thought of asking

Basilio what he thought was stupid to make the class laugh. Basilio answered the question. He was like a

parrot in answering. At that time, Basilio was not asked. Why is it that it sounds so ridiculous in class?

Basilio lost his motivation to study.

D. Comparison with Noli Me Tangere

The comparison of El filibusterismo and Noli me tangere is in the noli me tangere it’s all about

the Captain Tiago and he is an influential planter in San Diego, an upwardly mobile town where tiago

spends two months per year. While in El filibusterismo is it’s all Basilio goes to the Forest of the Ibarras,
which is owned by Capitan Tiago. Basilio goes to a Balete tree and prays before a pile of stones, which

mark the grave of his mother. She died 13 years ago, insane and not able to remember him. Back then, a

stranger told him to build a funeral pyre. He did what he was told, and then returned and saw that the

stranger was dead.
