Brief Module Description

The principal aim of this module is to enable you to develop a wide ranging understanding of the
development process within the economic, legal, political and social environment.

This module forms part of the range of professionally accredited courses offered within the Built
Environment department.
Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcome 1
You will communicate effectively demonstrating the ability to
maintain a meaningful discussion including listening and
receiving; be able to make a presentation, to read and write.

You will work with others demonstrate the ability to identify


Learning Outcome 2 project objectives, plan work, work towards objectives and
review work relating to your award title.

You will be able to Identify key project stages including the


Learning Outcome 3 ability to identify key project personnel, structures and stages
and address key project influences including key decisions on
finance, statutory control, feasibility, project mobilisation and
completion, project disposal in the context of project initiation,
risk identification, feasibility, construction, operation and
disposal.
