Specific Learning Outcomes:


At the end of the lesson, the students may be able to:
1. Discuss the different elements for specific forms in poetry. .
2. Identify the elements of poetry in a sample poem.
3. Explain the various types of poetry.
4. Make a poem applying the different eements for specific forms in poetry.
Time Allotment:
120 minutes ( two hours)
Materials:
chalk and board, whiteboard marker, power point presentation
Learning Procedures

A. Introduction:
- The students will why is it important to identify the elements applied in a poem. Teacher’s Tip:
- The teacher will call the student who raised his/ her
hand before sharing his/ her answers in front of the
class.

B. Motivation:
- The students will read aloud the poem written on the board. After reading they will share to the class what they have Teacher’s Tip:

C. Instruction / Delivery:
- The students will be divided into two groups each group will pick a topic to be discussed with their group Teacher’s Tip:

Practice:

identify the rhythmic patter and the metrical measurement of the poem.

Enrichment:
- Base on the poem they had in their practice, they are going to identify the theme of the poem and connect it to some Teacher’s Tip:
religious aspects of the church.

Evaluation:
- The students will construct their own poem entitled “Individual Differences”. The poem must follow a certain rhythmic Teacher’s Tip:
patter and meter. The poem must consist of 4 stanzas with 4 lines. Development- 20 pts
Relevance- 20 pts
Creative representation of ideas- 10 pts.
Total: 50 pts
