Pilot Flying Pilot Monitoring

Start the Taxi Procedure after the Before Taxi Procedure.
Request taxi clearance, as needed.
Confirm the taxi clearance and update the briefing, as needed.
CAMERA LTS switch (if installed) ......................................................................................Set
During the hours of darkness: ON.
All other times: OFF.
TAXI light switch .................................................................................................................ON
Display select panel ............................................................................................................Set
Select or verify the LWR CTR switch is selected.
CAM display switch (if installed) ................................................................................ Push
Verify the taxi camera displays.
Parking brake.............................................................................................................. Release
When the PARKING BRAKE SET memo message disappears:
Announce “PARKING BRAKE RELEASED”.
Every time the aircraft has to be brought to a holt
Parking brake...................................................................................................................... Set
Verify that the PARKING BRAKE SET message is shown.
Announce “PARKING BRAKE SET”.
Verify the memo message PARKING BRAKE SET and announce “CHECKED”.
TAXI light switch ............................................................................................................... OFF
Follow the procedure from the beginning to start the taxi again.
If cleared to cross an active runway during taxi:
Before crossing:
LANDING light switches .....................................................................................................ON
RUNWAY TURNOFF light switches ...................................................................................ON
STROBE light switch ..........................................................................................................ON
Transponder mode selector .......................................................................................... TA/RA
Verify TFC is displayed on the ND.
After crossing:
LANDING light switches ................................................................................................... OFF
RUNWAY TURNOFF light switches ................................................................................. OFF

STROBE light switch ........................................................................................................ OFF
Transponder mode selector ........................................................................................ XPNDR
Verify the advisory message TCAS OFF displays and announce “TCAS OFF”.
Verify TCAS OFF is displayed on the ND.
Call “CANCEL EICAS”.
CANC/RCL switch ........................................................................................................... Push
Verify that the message disappears.
