Today, it is not surprising to see that many children are familiar with the internet.
Internet is important, but controlling children accessing it is a must. This is because of
the following reasons.
Websites on the internet are easily opened by everyone around the world. The
websites may contain bad and inappropriate articles, pictures and videos. Children
can‟t filter which one they should see and which they should not.
The internet can also make children addicted. Moreover, there are many websites
providing online games for children. if we can‟t control them, they will play the games
for hours without stopping. This is absolutely not good for them.
Besides, if children access the internet too often, they may not have a good social
life. They won‟t be able to get along with their friends. Furthermore, this may make
them anti-social.
Thus, it is clear that we should control children when they access the internet.

I recently visited Sydney with my parents. We visited many interesting places.
The one I enjoyed best was the Wildlife Park.
The Wildlife Park has a lot different Australian animals and birds. There are over
600 animals, including kangaroos, wallabies, koala and crocodiles. They are kept in
their natural surroundings. I much preferred the Wildlife Park to a zoo where a lot of
animals are in cages.
We were able to walk along the kangaroos and wallabies. We were even allowed
to touch them and to feed them. It was very exciting to be very so close to them
We saw koala bears. They looked very cuddly. I got my photograph taken with
one of them. It is a wonderful souvenir of my holiday in Sydney.
We also went to see the crocodiles. The Wildlife Park has a lot of fresh-, water
and salt-water crocodiles. Some of them were very big and scary with, huge teeth. I did
not get very close to them.
We also visited the aviary. There were some very colorful birds there. I really
liked an old parrot which could talk.
I wish we could have spent more time in the Wildlife Park. There were so much to
see.

The following text is for question 11 to 13

Capital punishment is one of the most controversial subjects to be discussed today.

This controversy is caused by so many things all over the world having so many different
views about it. Capital punishment happens when someone is put to death for a crime, for
example murder or drug trafficking. Many people think capital punishment should be
reinstated in Britain, but there are just as many people who think that the criminal system
is better the way it is.
One important argument against the death penalty is that sometimes an innocent
person is put to death. If capital punishment is used, the authorities must therefore have
evidence beyond the shadow of any doubt that they have accused the correct person.
Furthermore, capital punishment removes all possibility for a person who has done
something seriously wrong to be able to change and to be rehabilitated.
Another strong point against capital punishment is that two wrongs do not make a
right. Killing a victim, for instance, and then being sentenced to death does not suddenly
make everything all right or make things better. A poor, helpless victim‟s life has been
stolen from him, but killing the murderer will not bring the victim back.
Nevertheless, those who are in favor of the death penalty have many points with
which to justify their stance. Most importantly it punishes the criminal by doing to him
what he did to others. It acts as a form of revenge for the victim‟s family by letting them
know that the criminal has felt some of the pain he inflicted on another.
Furthermore, capital punishment could act as a deterrent to anyone who ever
thought about committing certain crimes, because he would know that when he was found
guilty, the death penalty awaited him. It can also save money because, instead of the
criminal being kept in person for the rest of his life, he is killed. After weighing up the
arguments for and against capital punishment, I have come to the conclusion that I am for
it, and that it is a pity it was abolished in Britain thirty or so years ago.

Photosynthesis is a food-making process that occurs in green plants. It is the chief
function of leaves. The word photosynthesis means putting together with light. Green
plants use energy from light to combine carbon dioxide and water to make sugar and other
chemical compounds.
The light used in photosynthesis is absorbed by a green pigment called chlorophyll.
Each food-making cell in a plant leaf contains chlorophyll in small bodies called
chloroplasts. In chloroplast, light energy causes water drawn from the soil to split into
hydrogen and oxygen.
The process of photosynthesis, in a series of complicated steps, the hydrogen
combines with carbon dioxide from the air, forming a simple sugar. Oxygen from the water
molecules is given off in the process. From sugar together with nitrogen, sulphur, and

Indonesia earthquake: Hundreds dead in Palu quake and tsunami

More than 380 people have been confirmed dead after

a tsunami triggered by a magnitude 7.5 earthquake hit
an Indonesian city on Friday. Waves up to 3m (10ft)
high swept through Palu on Sulawesi island. Video on
social media shows people screaming and fleeing in
panic and a mosque among the buildings damaged.

Strong aftershocks rocked the city on Saturday. Thousands of homes have collapsed, along
with hospitals, hotels and a shopping centre. Rescue efforts are under way, though
hampered by a major power cut. The main road to Palu has been blocked due to a
landslide, and a key bridge is out of action.
Indonesia's disaster agency said at least 384 people had been killed, but the number is
expected to rise. At least 540 have been injured, and 29 are listed as missing.
"Many bodies were found along the shoreline because of the tsunami, but the numbers are
still unknown," Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, a spokesman for the agency, told Reuters.
"When the threat arose yesterday, people were still doing their activities on the beach and
did not immediately run and they became victims," he told a news briefing.

"The tsunami didn't come by itself - it dragged cars, logs, houses - it hit everything on
land."
Some survived by climbing 6m (18ft) trees to escape the huge waves, the spokesman said.
A less powerful quake earlier on Friday had killed at least one person and injured at least
10 in the smaller fishing town of Donggala.

Ecotourism involves visiting natural areas with the objectives of learning, studying or
participating in activities that do not bring negative effects to the environment; whilst protecting
and empowering the local community socially and economically. It offers travelers the
opportunity to participate in conservation or reservation projects.
An important element of this type of project is education. The goal is that through
participation, eco-travelers will return home with increased awareness and concern for
environmental issues and therefore continue to behave in an environmentally conscious way.
Also involves the local community in aspects of planning, decision-making an
management of ecotourism. This encourages the empowerment of individuals.
Finally, it educates travelers through leaflets, interpretation and advise from thought
operators or guides about the culture, customs, and etiquette of locals. This prevents conflict or
