6 years ago when I received my degree in business administration, I chose that course coz I am

firm that I will never pick a course with a licensure exam because I am scared to fail and
become a disappointment to my family.
In 2018, while i was on my home from work I realized I wanted to work overseas, to get out of
my comfort zone.
The same day, I asked my parents if they would allow me to go to Dubai, and without hesitation
they answered “yes”, I was very excited then. I flew to Dubai to fulfill my dreams and for my
family.
3 months later something tragic happened to my father, he met an accident and died. So i
needed to go home without fulfilling my dreams. Can you imagine, I left home, full of dreams,
happy and excited but everything turned into sadness.
While I was in deep pain, I realized I needed to start all over again, I was able to find a job and
at the same time I took my professional education units. I needed to work from Monday to
Friday and go to school during weekends. Yes! You heard it right I needed to work to pay my
tuition fees. I didn’t know how I manage my time, it’s like hitting two birds with one stone.
After 5 months of studying, I had to face one of my fears “the board exam” I filed my
application for the September 2019 board exam without my relatives’ knowledge, I
intentionally did everything to keep it private. Until the result came out, that was December 02,
2019 Sunday evening, I could still remember the butterflies in my stomach, my heart beats like
a drum while scrolling on my cellphone and searching my name on the list of passers. All the
hardwork, sleepless nights have paid off, yes! I was one of the 54,179 who passed the board
exam. Crystal clear pa yan sakin, paano ko ba naman makakalimutan eh, nalagpasan ko yung isa
sa pinakatatakutan ko!

Cliché as they may say that everything happens for a reason.
