Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O)

The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) is the premiere student organization
(for high school) in the Philippines that concerned for environmental welfare. This organization
consolidates all other environment-related clubs in schools, and is separated from the Science Club
which is primarily focused in science & technology.

The YES-O is under the YES Program of the Department of Education (DepEd) of the Philippines.
Under DepEd Order No. 72, series of 2003 entitled ''ESTABLISHMENT OF THE YOUTH FOR
ENVIRONMENT IN SCHOOLS (YES) ORGANIZATION,'' public and private elementary and secondary
schools all over the country are advised to build the said organization.

Just like any other environmental organizations, we do have the goal to create awareness
about the environmental condition of the country among the Filipino students,
establish doable and specific projects for environmental wellness, and promote
environmental advocacies among our schools.

Under the YES program is also the annual convergence of the YES-O officers and members for the
Division YES-O and the Regional YES-O Executive Team elections, which will become the
governing student body that will create activities division-wide and region-wide, respectively.

Below is the OFFICIAL logo of YES-O made by the DepEd.
