MISSION PLANNING

→ Start


→ Mission

→ New Mission
→ Click Mission settings from the above shown window

Coose the Aircraft and Choose Payload


Set the Link Loss parametres
→ Close
→ Click on Icon and choose the map

From the above → World Image → Select


The below window appears

To find area of Interest → Pan To … icon

The below shown Pan To Window appears


Click Address icon to feed the coordinates of AOI.

Feed the Address as shown below and → Find


The below shown window appears and pan the screen with mouse to SOI campus and
→ Zoom in icon to fit the AOI

→ Wind Setting icon


(Wind direction is to be considered for flight launching and take off
during mission planning. The direction should be in opposite to the
wind flow)

→ Add New Element

→ Draw New Area.

Using the data button of mouse select the area on the image .
Customize altitude as
per your required GSD.
→Side Overlap as 40%
and Forward Overlap as
80% (You can customize
percentage of overlaps)
→ Show Advanced tab

Below shown window appears

Manually we can set the strip/ Leg


directions by clicking Manual tab in the
Direction Box as shown above. Suppose
you digitize the AOI polygon of SOI
CAMPUS, then you can see the direction
of strips as 0º as shown here.
Similarly if you change the direction of Leg
as 90º, then you can see the direction of
strips as 0º as shown below.
For the above AOI of SOI campus, the flight path is moving out of the SOI
campus where we don’t have permission we have to manually reduce the entry or exit
extensions from 40m to 10m or edit the polygon of AOI
.REDUCING THE ENTRY EXTENSION FROM 40M TO 0M:-

Still the flying path is crossing IISM campus so use the other option i.e., editing of area.

EDIT THE POLYGON OF AOI:-

→ data button on any vertex nodes for editing AOI. If still problem exists, click
radio button of optimize Leg Sequence
To see the triggering positions click

→ Add New Element → Set Take-off/Landing

Click in the open area (normally elevated) from where take off is required, then the
below shown window appears.
Tranisition altitude ATO must be equal to or more than 20m and the Direction must be
opposite to the direction of wind. →

Transition cone
Transition Cone should be sharp enough and consider the elevated trees in that
direction.

Landing icon

→ Finish Element.

TO CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF RETRANSITION FOR LANDING AGAINST WIND


DIRECTION
For

landing click Retransition as shown above and customize the Retransition Altitude ATO
(must be equal or more than 20 m) and direction also.

→ Finish element
Zoom to the portion of take off and retransition landing, a gap must be maintained.
TAKEOFF RETRANSITION

MISSION SAVING :-

→ as shown below.

→ Save Mission
save as .qbm in proper directory. and with the help of Modem linking start flying field
exercise.
