Use Calibri Body) as your Font, size 12. Use the space below for your answers.

1. Tell what kind of a business venture you intend to open and why you have chosen it.

Post quarantine days here in the Philippines I have noticed that people want to have fun and be” free” again
because of what the quarantine has done to them, so they tend to go to bars and clubs to party and its kinda
a big thing/a hit now a days specially with the younger generations. So I want to establish my own Bar/Club
that is relatable to my generation.

2. Explain briefly how you can be an entrepreneur and not merely a businessperson.

Simple, because I don’t just simply sell goods or offer services but I also do practice the way of being an
entrepreneur.

3. Explain the concept of entrepreneurial competency and its importance in the practice of
entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurial competency is defined as the individual characteristics. Entrepreneur is a person who

undertakes risk for gaining profit in the business venture. Entrepreneurial competency thus becomes critical
for an SME to become competitive in the globalized world Entrepreneurship competency will mean
employees are self-driven, responsible, innovative, and motivated about what they do. Here are the basic
differences between any other employee and one with entrepreneurial competencies.

An entrepreneurial mindset also means pushing themselves to be innovative and creative and holding on to
even the tiniest opportunity to grow. Don’t all these characteristics sound valuable? Organizations feel that
when their employees have an entrepreneurial mindset, they add more value to the workplace and get a
sense of ownership of the company and not just treat it like a place to earn a salary from.

Performance Task Score: ________

Three-Paragraph Essay
A. Recall an invention that you think has significantly changed your lifestyle. Evaluate how creative and valuable it is
to you. (50 points)

As I find myself thinking about technology that has transformed my life for the better or worse, I have
realized that the cell phone has probably had the largest impact on my life. This technology affects my
life daily, as it does many others. I believe that the cell phone has changed my life the most over any
other technology in that I use it on a daily basis. The cell phone allows me to have almost instant
communication with whomever I wish, which in this day and age in the world of business is a necessity
seeing as patience is not something that North Americans may pride themselves with. Instant
communications through voice, text, and instant messaging have improved the lives of all cell phone
users due to the communicative privileges they allow for planning the future, whether it be a party, a
night out, or just the rest of your day.

I myself have an average, boring cell phone. This is all I want and need as I am not subject to the ever so
fast-paced change of technology that my peers are in awe over. I do not want a new cell phone every
month, and I do not find having internet on my cell phone an attractive or even influencing feature of
this technology. I use my cell phone for text messaging and voice-to-voice communications, which are
the first forms of communication these devices were designed for. I do not believe that the cell phone
phenomena of today have affected or changed my lifestyle to suit its technological advancements as it
has everyone else.

My life has not changed in many ways due to this technology because what I use my cellular device for is
now almost seen as old technology compared to how other peers use these. The only way this
technology has affected me is by frustrating me with how annoying it is seeing everyone, including my
own girlfriend, surfing the internet and making purchases while trying to have a conversation with them
or driving down the road!
