VIEWING MATERIALS

•are things that are designed to be seen, viewed or watched.


•As we are surrounded by these things it is important to know to which category or genre do, they
belong.
GENRE
•Is a term for any category of literature or other forms of art or Entertainment
•It a category or a group
Example:
Romeo and Juliet belongs to the genre of DRAMA or PLAY
The Song “Ice Cream” by Black Pink belongs to the K-pop Genre of music
GENRES OF VIEWING MATERIALS
Compilation or group of Materials designed to be seen, watched or viewed.
Some of the Genres of Viewing Materials are:
Movie/ Video Clips – a short video from a longer film or movie
Trailer – are selected group of scenes that are selected to advertise a movie. It is often called a preview
News Flash – is a single item of important news that is being broadcasted separately and often
interrupts other programs
Weather Report – is a systematic statement of the existing and predicted weather conditions over a specific
area
Variety Show - It is a theatrical entertainment of successive separate performances (as of songs, dances, skits,
and acrobatic feats). Its main purpose is to entertain the viewers. It is called variety because it presents the
viewers varied performances.
Documentary – is a movie, a television, or radio program that is based on actual records or reports, and
whose methods involve filming ‘real people’ as themselves in actual locations, using natural light and ambient
sound.
Animation - These are the cartoons we see on screen. Inanimate objects or drawings appear to move in
motion pictures or computer graphics. Their themes vary as well as the target age group. Some are for
toddlers, kids while some are for teenagers.

CRITERIA

Excellent (90-100)
-High coherent and unique/creative presentation and evident collaboration of the group.
Good (80-89)
-Coherent and somewhat unique/creative presentation and the team worked well together.
Satisfactory (70-79)
-Coherent and shows a little unique/creative presentation; and little collaboration occurred.
