Q 1.

 Why do you want to join the IRIS Operations team?

I would like to join IRIS’ operations team because I think it to be the foundation of the event.
The vertical is in charge of ensuring that the entire festival is organised and runs smoothly,
from decorating the campus to guaranteeing the comfort of all speakers, visitors, and
spectators. I am fast decision maker and have great communication skills. I believe my
people management and money management abilities and the experience of organizing
events in the past makes me a good fit for an operations team. It is always a great experience
when it comes to organising an event with your peers and seniors and working
wholeheartedly to make it successful.

Q 2. What do you think are the roles & responsibilities of IRIS Operations
vertical?

Operations verticals are responsible for the D-day operations of IRIS. They have to ensure
that the IRIS is running smoothly and efficiently. They do this by making sure that all the
orders are being processed in a timely manner, that there is enough inventory on hand to meet
participants demands, and by keeping track of IRIS’s operations like stage management,
vendor management. The duties of an operations vertical may vary depending on what
industry they have worked in, but they generally involve overseeing the logistics and
management processes. They are in charge of all the activities that keep the IRIS running. An
operations vertical wears many hats. They are responsible for managing the budget,
maintaining inventory, and making sure that everything is being delivered on time.
Operations verticals also make sure that other verticals have what they need to do their jobs
effectively and efficiently.

Q 3. Share your Previous Experience in Organizing events, issues faced during them
and how you dealt with them (Both Offline and Online)?

 The very first time I got an opportunity to organize an event was in my school,
I was founder of science club in my school and also president. With my team
of 8 members, I have organized various events like guest lectures of scientists
and quiz events for 800 students. Enrolling students to science club was also
one of the responsibilities.
 In my UG in NIT Nagpur I was one of the organizers of Catapultikon event,
and took responsibilities like planning of event on the D-Day, crowd
management on the day of the event, being prepared for bad weather,
promotion of the event and getting more participants for the event.
 I have also volunteered for organizing other various events as a part of
AAROHI the cultural fest of NIT Nagpur. I have diverse experience, from
invigilating written quiz to calling and taking follow ups of partners
Q 4. What new initiatives would you like to implement as a junior member of IRIS
Operations Vertical? Give a detailed plan to implement it.

1)      Graffiti (Wildstyle/ Heaven and heaven spot)- The graffiti can be

formed  
2)      Theme song of IRIS- A song dedicated to the history of IRIS and its
legacy using wraps and local/vernacular languages. We can incorporate
our music club and music enthusiasts of our batch to come up with
various versions of the song. Based on the quality of submissions, the
music club will shortlist the best ones and encourage them to form a
compiled song.
3)      Folk song, Folk dance, and Traditional Day - Reflecting the diversity
of India.
