Commercial Geography is the relation between
Geographic Structure and Commercial Activities. The
Commerce depends on the structure of the
Geography and related factors such as Land
Structure, Population, Climate, Temperature, Stability
and many other things.

“Commercial geography is a form of geography


concerned with the production and supply of
raw materials including agricultural output and
finished goods.”

1) NAGPUR ORANGES

Nagpur oranges, which are a variety of orange grown


in Nagpur, are quite popular not only in India but also
outside with its sweetness and juicy pulp. The
Mandarin orange, which is also known as mandarin or
mandarine is the common type of orange that is widely
cultivated in Nagpur. Nagpur mandarin is the most
popular fruit among all types of oranges in India due to
its sweet-sour appealing taste and easy peelable
quality of the rind. Some of the finest Mandarins are
cultivated in Nagpur, Amravati and Wardha districts of
Maharashtra. Nagpur Santra, a type of loose jacketed
orange belongs to this category of Mandarins.
Nagpur Santra is commonly grown in the Satpura Hills
of Vidharba region.
Nagpur oranges are widely used as fresh fruit in
India. It also has many other purposes like
producing canned segments, squash, juice
concentrate, beverages and jams. The peel of
Mandarin is a good source of essential pectin and
oil. It is also used as a basic material for the
production of candies, cattle feed and alcohol. So,
you can see several firms and industries that are
functioning in this area in Nagpur. So don’t forget
to visit the orange market in Nagpur and taste the
unique Nagpur oranges during your holiday trip to
Nagpur city.
2) TEA OF KAZIRANGA

The Tea Gardens of Hathkhuli, Borchapori and few


others are the major attraction for the tourist
visiting the Kaziranga. These tea gardens add
further charms and are pride for the state. Popular
all across the globe for the captive taste of its
unique tea, Assam has world’s largest tea
plantation area. While you are on a tour to
Kaziranga National Park, tourists must visit a few
tea gardens located close by that are definitely not
to be missed spot. The ultimate lush green small
tea plants fluttering into the hill slopes are a
panoramic view that everyone should see once in
his lifetime.
Many of these tea gardens located in the proximity
of the Kaziranga National Park warm welcomes
visitors are open for the public viewing. Some of the
popular and most eminent tea gardens near the
parks are Methoni, Hathkhuli, Difalu, Borchapori and
Behora tea gardens.

The best part about Kaziranga is that it has several


tourist spot in its vicinity. Tourists can go for a day-
visit to these tea gardens while you are staying in
Kaziranga. However, some of the prominent tea
gardens also offer the facility for night stays. It is
always a good idea for nature enthusiasts visiting
national park for few days, a night stay at a tea
gardens. Since most of the tea estates are located
very close to the park and accessing them is not
tough.
