displayed color of the microwave links according to the type of path ("free space",

item of the microwave links parameters using the "check" option. Then the first
part of the link will be :

The "clearance" function has been optimized in order to minimize the antenna
heights on both transmitting and receiving sides.
This function is filtering raw measurements data in order to get a file with
measured values that will be imported or correlated. Different features are
available :
- Filter all values where the HDOP (Horizontal Dilution Of Precision) is greater
than the specified value (in meters).
- Filter all records outside the range from "Min range (measurement)" to "Max
range (measurement)" (dBu or dBm). This is linked to the dynamic of the
MEASURE/ equipment.

These features are dedicated to draw TDAO (Time Difference Of Arrival) and
TSOA (Time Sum Of Arrival) maps displayed in meters. The principal is the
following :
TDOA methodology : An aircraft radiates a signal, either in response to an
interrogation or spontaneously. Then the TDOA for the radiated signal is
calculated at each sensor that will allow the calculation of the aircraft position.
TSOA methodology : This method has two steps. First, the aircraft must be

interrogated by a "multilateration" system interrogator. Second, as a response to
the interrogation, the TSOA is calculated from the delay measured at each
sensor. This delay is the time difference between when the interrogation is
radiated and when the sensor receives the aircraft response.
Note : The TDOA method requires at least four activated stations having a
"MLAT sensor" signal type and the TSOA method requires at least one activated
station with a signal type "MLAT interrogator ".

The "Shared DB station" option, if checked, allows sharing and modifying the
same station database by different users. Then, a local catalog is created for each
user and stored in the "TMP" sub-folder of the installation main folder. The format
is like ""PATHTMP_nombase_USER.SB7".

It is possible to save links between stations in external exchange tables. Links are
saved as an extension of stations data. The existing table structure (STATION2)
is slightly modified and is associated to a specific table of links. In the
"ICStel2K2.MDB" file provided with the installation of the tool, there are two new
tables named "STATION3" and "STATION3_LKS" where each link record is

This function draws an Uplink C/N on each point of the Downlink coverage and
limited to the selected the clutter codes and altitude range and according to the
selected "Grid" step. Each station must have a coverage already performed and
its "Noise floor" field properly defined.
The "Listing" option builds a CSV report for each pass that looks like : "Base
station #, Callsign, Noise floor dBm, Noise dBm, Pass #".
Two methods are then available :
1) "Global noise rise method" : The user predefines a global noise rise level in dB
(I/N) where N is coming from the "Noise Floor (dBm)" value of each activated
station. On each point of the best server coverage of each station, a terminal is
added (with parameters set with the "Parameters..." button). The terminal's
antenna is oriented towards the current best server and the wanted signal level
"C" is calculated. The "N" level is equal to the "Noise Floor" of the current best
server station with the "Global noise Rise" value added. Note that with this
method, the IRF values are not used.

interference level "I" is calculated on each station. I is coming from :
- the power sum of the signals received from the selected terminals that are not
