PROBLEM STATEMENT
Major problems that today's society and our surrounding are facings are listed below, there
are many problems that are to be addressed but the problem that can be addressed and has to
be solved as soon as possible.
We tried to analyze some problems as a team. The energy and time it took was addressable
but the results it showed was of great significance. As an individual my opinion to the society
is work in groups, work alone but your little efforts to the goodness of the society will bring a
drastic change in the society as well as in the minds of the neighbours and colleagues. Which
will further promote wellness of the nation and the world we live in.
Career Guidance is the most important thing in any student’s life. It helps him/her to select a
path of life how he wants to pursue his life and earn money and have a good standard of life.
there is almost no career counselling. Students don’t know about their fields of interest.
Students need to explore today what they really want to do in future. They need to clarify
whether they should follow the opinion of their father or mother, follow their friends or
should they follow their own dream career. The turmoil of making a career decision results
students landing into wrong career, failure, unemployment/underemployment.
The problem that we want to address is the lack of awareness amongst our teenagers about
the career options they can pursue today and motivation to achieve their goals and to build
their character. No one really guides them and they just do what their friends are doing or
what their parents want them to do.
The ways by which we have analyzed problem are:
Visiting local people and students
Surveying the students
Noting the problems faced by the people and senior students
Observing the surroundings
By watching and reading news.

COMMUNITY SERICE
ii. Background
Community service is a non-paying job performed by one person or a group of people for the
benefit of their community or its institutions. Community service is distinct from
volunteering, since it is not always performed on a voluntary basis. It may be performed for a
variety of reasons.
iii. Need/Importance
Community Service Has a Number of Important Benefits Engaging in community service
provides students with the opportunity to become active members of their community and has
a lasting, positive impact on society at large. Community service or volunteerism enables
students to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide a service to those who need it
most. These are some of the common benefits of participating in a community service
program
8
COMMUNITY SERICE
Psychological benefits: Volunteering increases overall life satisfaction and helps you feel
good about yourself because you are helping others. It can also help to decreases stress and
ease depression
Social benefits: Volunteering engages students with the community, creates special bonds
with the population being served, and increases social awareness and responsibility.
Cognitive benefits: Volunteering helps students enhance their personal knowledge, grow
from new experiences, and develop better interpersonal communication skills
Participating in community service not only makes a difference to the organization and
people being served. but also makes a difference to every student's career prospects.
Participating in community service activities helps to enhance student resumes by allowing
students to obtain work-related skills prior to graduation builds good references for
employers in regards to community involvement, and provides a forum to network with
future potential employers. It also helps students develop civic and social responsibility skills
and become more aware of what their community needs
You can also make a positive contribution to your community by earning an online degree in
nursing, criminal justice or psychology. Contact us today for more information about our
programs where you can learn how to help real people and leave a positive impact on the
world
There are hundreds of ways to participate in community service, depending on the skills and
interests. Some common community service examples include:
1. Working with schoolchildren: Tutoring children after school, collecting school supplies
to donate, planting a school garden.
2 Working with senior citizens: Visiting residents of a retirement centre, delivering meals to
senior citizens, driving them to appointments.
3 Improving the environment: Holding a recycling contest, planting trees, creating a new
trail at a nature Centre.
4. Helping low-income people: Passing out food at a soup kitchen, collecting used clothes to
be donated, making first aid kits for homeless shelters.

2. ACTIVITIES
i. Interacting with Students:
I and our team went to the Zilla Parishad High School, Military colony, near Gargeyapuram
Village, Kurnool District. We interacted with IX class English Medium and Telugu Medium
students and X class English Medium and Telugu Medium students. We have taken 4 hours
guide and motivate them. Students are very much interested, excited and ethusiastic. They
want to learn something new and more. We interacted with them like our own brothers and
sisters.
10
COMMUNITY SERICE
Students asked us many doubts regarding their goals and we clarified everything they asked.
When students started asking doubts we felt happy that are so interested to reach their goals
and they have the fire in them to achieve their dream and make parents and country proud.

3. PROBLEM CAUSES:
Some of these major problems include:
Lack of Guidance :
Without the proper career guidance while in school, the student is not going to get the
valuable opportunity in order to learn all the different choices that are available based on their
interests. They may feel like they only have one or two options available and can feel
discouraged because they aren’t that fond of any of them.
Financial Conditions :
It is not an uncommon issue for students to work on choosing their careers while there is a
poor financial condition. There are a lot of expenses that all students will have to handle
when they enroll or register for any type of college. And it is going to add up over the four
years or more that the student is in school.
On top of this, many families of the student are not able to help out with the education, no
matter how much they may want. And while there are some scholarships and options to help
keep the costs of education down, not all students are aware of this while some are not going
to be eligible for it.
With poor financial conditions, the student is already set up for defeat. They may have to just
take the first job that they can find. They need to pay their bills off, so they go with a career
that they may not like that much in the hopes of at least making a paycheck.
Copycat Decisions :
Because too many students are not getting the career guidance that they need, it is common
for them to make some misinformed decisions because they are all on their own. In the
process, college students tend to take a course as their career objective simply because they
know someone else who is doing it.
Many times the student is not going to understand that the degree they choose to pursue is
very important and that it is meant to relate to what kind of work they want to do in the
future. They find themselves really lost in the crowd and will just choose to do what others
are doing, not thinking about how that will affect them until it is too late.
Fear of Failure :
As a young college student, it is normal to be a little bit sacred of failing. In that regard, you
may make some bad decisions in the hopes of avoiding that failure, but these will make it
more difficult to find the life that you want. If you change your mindset and start to see
failures more as a stepping stone for success, you can open the path better than before.
Most students who go to college with limited financial resources worry that if they end up
choosing a career that is based only on their interests, or they fail to secure a good job soon
after their studies, then they are going to miss out on having any chance in the future.
This can make them feel like they need to hasten any career choice. They need to either get
something right out of college, regardless of if it is something that they would actually like,
13
COMMUNITY SERICE
or they have to take a career that is high paying so they do not end up in debt forever. This is
not going to lead to happiness after college though.
They Do Not Try New Things :
While college is a great place to plan out your future and figure out what you would like to
do, it is also a time to try out new things. Join some fun clubs, try out a few internships, and
even find other ways to network and meet someone new. You never know when one of those
opportunities will lead to something great in the future.
There will never be another time in your life where you will be around so many different
people from different backgrounds or have as many opportunities to try something new. It is
a good time to take advantage of it and see more about your likes and dislikes than ever
before.
You can then easily turn some of these into experiences that will help you get ahead in the
future. You may find that a specific niche speaks to you well or that you want to follow a new
passion. And that can lead you to the job that you want.
Lack of Qualifications :
Many of the most sought-after careers require a graduate degree. Many students write these
off as impossible options for them. However, it’s important to remember that your right
dream job can be in reach with a little extra education.
The start of your career is just that, the beginning. This is a great time to improve your skills
and gain the qualifications you need to grow to higher positions. Earning your business
degree online is simple with the right tools and time management. Plus, you can still work
your typical work hours with this flexible education option.

4. Solutions:
One of the best solution is to choose right course after X class.
Making a plan for what you're going to do and when you're going to do it will make sure
you're always ahead of the curve – literally.
1.Don't multitask. Studies have shown that multitasking is physically impossible.
2.Divide it up. Studying isn't fun to begin with, and forcing yourself through a study
marathon will only make it worse. Dividing your work into manageable chunks and
rewarding yourself when you finish each chunk will make studying (more) fun.
3.Sleep. Don't underestimate the importance of those eight hours of zzz's every night! Getting
a good night's rest will sharpen your focus and improve your working memory.
4.Set a schedule. Do you work better right after school or after you've eaten dinner? Are you
more productive in 90-minute blocks or half-hour spurts? Find a schedule that works for you,
and stick to it.
5.Take notes. Taking notes will not only keep you more engaged during class, but will also
help you narrow down what you need to study when exam time rolls around. It's much easier
to reread your notes than to reread your entire textbook!
6.Study. This one might be obvious, but did you know that there's a right and a wrong way to
study? Review your material several days ahead of time, in small chunks, and in different
15
COMMUNITY SERICE
manners (for example, write flashcards one day and take practice tests the next). In other
words, don't cram.
7.Manage your study space.Find a place that will maximize your productivity. Look for
places away from the television and other distractions. Whether it's your local library or just
the desk in your bedroom, set aside a study space that you'll want to spend time in.
8.Find a study group. Sitting down with a group of people who are learning the same things
as you is a great way to go over confusing class material or prepare for a big test. You can
quiz each other, reteach material, and make sure that everyone is on the same page. After all,
teaching someone else is the best way to learn.
9.Ask questions. You're in school to learn, so don't be afraid to do just that! Asking for help -
from a teacher, a tutor or your friends - is a surefire way to make sure you truly understand
the material.
10.Reading newspaper daily will give more knowledge and we can get to know about so
many things.
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it
today.”
“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”
Mainly students has to utilize opportunities and fight for what they want(good only).

5.Conclusion:
We have definitely learned how to be more patient and be more productive. The journey from
the right beginning is deciding how we can help the community/society to be a better place.
What activities will be well suited to my surroundings Keeping all the facts in mind, we
figured out a few activities that were: Interacting with students; explaining them about
courses after X class; motivating them.
Each activity had its own challenges and an impressive outcome. The satisfaction the activity
provided me was at a different level. Helping out society truly sets a different mindset. After I
finished my work gave me a great feeling.
Now I have many more friends in my society to make changes in our society. I am looking
forward to helping society in as many ways as possible. As we know, small changes make a
huge difference. I will even promote the idea of community service as a general
responsibility for all.
