8. The ratio of the area of zone of the first spherical segment to
that of the second spherical segment is 1:5. If the height of the
second zone is 5 cm, find the diameter, and volume of the
sphere.

9. A hemispherical vessel is partly filled with water 12 cm deep

at the lower part and oil 6 cm deep above the water. If the
volume of the water is equal to the volume of the oil, compute
for the volumes of the oil and the vessel. Also, compute for the
radii of the oil and water surfaces.

10. A sphere is circumscribing a cubical box having a volume of
3,375 m3. Find the volume of the space between the cubical box
and the sphere.

11. Take a clay sphere of radius 13 and drill a circular hole of

radius 5 through its center. Take the remaining bead and mold
it into a new sphere. What is the radius of the new sphere?

plane in such a way that its
distance from a fixed point
remains constant.

Determine the coordinates of the center of the curve
