Gear from new vendors

(purchased with Puzzling Cartel Dinar)

→ Same as Normal “fated” raid gear (278-285 ilvl) ←

● Raid options will be any Shadowlands raid: Castle Nathria, Sanctum, or SoFo
● Will have access to each raid on Normal / Heroic / Mythic difficulties
● Each week, one raid will be selected and buffed as the “Fated” raid
● When the raid is “Fated” you can still access it in any difficulty, but you CANNOT access the
Non-Fated version
● I.e.: It’s Sanctum’s week to be Fated. You can access:
○ LFR Nathria, Normal Nathria, Heroic Nathria, Mythic Nathria
○ Fated-LFR Sanctum, Fated-Normal Sanctum, Fated-Heroic Sanctum, Fated-Mythic Sanctum
○ LFR SoFo, Normal SoFo, Heroic SoFo, Mythic SoFo
● When you raid a “Fated” raid, there will be these changes:
○ The raid will overall be more difficult / hit harder / etc
○ Bosses will have an added Affix
○ There are four different Affixes that could apply (see Exhibit A: Affixes)
○ Loot drops in the Fated raid will have higher ilvl. If you choose to raid a non-Fated raid instead, the ilvl drops will be the same as
they were in the old raid
○ In other words, there is no point to raiding a Non-Fated raid - should always do whichever raid is Fated that week
○ Each boss kill (on any difficulty of a Fated raid) will go toward your Puzzling Dinar quests
○ Bosses drop Heroic and Mythic Fated Cyphers (shards) depending on difficulty of Fated raid you choose
○ TBD: Will skips still work? Will lockouts be the same / can you extend Fated raid lockouts?
● Three new vendors - one for each raid - all located in Hall of Holding in Oribos
● Items sold by the new vendors will be the Normal-Fated ilvl range of 278-285, depending on the item
● To buy an item from a vendor, you must use currency called Puzzling Cartel Dinar (“PCD”)
● 1 Puzzling Cartel Dinar = 1 Piece of Gear/weapon/trinket
● You can only get three PCD **the entire season**
● You get PCD from completing specific quests. There are three applicable quests, each awarding 1 PCD. These numbers
may be adjusted:
○ Quest one: Kill 30 bosses from Fated Raids
○ Quest two: Kill 20 bosses from Fated Raids
○ Quest three: Kill 10 bosses from Fated Raids
○ Yes, in that order!

Things to Note:
Due to this, the maximum number of kills toward a quest that you can get a week is set:
To get credit toward quest completion, the boss you kill must be
from a Fated raid ● Castle Nathria = Max of 10 Fated kills/wk
● Sanctum = Max of 10 Fated kills/wk
You can only get 1 kill counted from each boss per week toward ● SoFo = Max of 11 Fated kills/wk
your quest. Killing the same boss in different difficulties does not
reward extra kills toward your Quest objectives.
● Any gear dropped from a Fated raid will Things to Note:

● As previously mentioned, Heroic-Fated You finally collect 20 of the Confounding Ancient Cyphers from Fated-Mythic
and Mythic-Fated difficulty raid bosses raid by killing an aggregate of 20 Fated-Mythic raid bosses over time. You
ALSO drop Cyphers (shards) combine them and now you can upgrade an item to Mythic ilvl (304/311).
● Fated-Heroic shards are called Woohoo! Which item should you upgrade? You can upgrade a <Fated> piece from
Confounding Antique Cyphers LFR, Normal OR Heroic, and it’ll transform into Mythic. You choose to upgrade
your helm from LFR because it’s your biggest upgrade by far.
● Fated-Mythic shards are called
Confounding Ancient Cyphers
This means:
● Bosses in Fated raids have 100% drop ● You do NOT have to upgrade in sequence (i.e., doesn’t need to first be

to upgrade all normal <Fated> gear to Mythic ilvl!

Exhibit A: Affixes
● Fated Power: Chaotic Essence
○ A Chaotic Essence begins casting Chaotic Destruction, which will essentially blow up the raid if it finishes.
○ Trying to stop it causes it to summon motes and every Chaotic Mote spawned by the Chaotic Essence channels damage into a nearby player. The goal
seems to be to kill as many motes as possible while working on the Chaotic Essence, getting a stacking buff of 2% increased damage done, 2% increased
healing done, and 2% absorbs done for 25 sec.
○ That buff stacks up for every Chaotic Mote killed before the end of the 15 seconds from the time the Chaotic Essence arrives to party. It feels like the
goal here is to get everybody as much of the Chaotic Essence buff as possible, essentially fighting hard to keep the Essence from casting Chaotic
Destruction and getting as many motes dead as can be arranged. Going into later stages of the fight with 20% or more bonus damage, healing and
absorbs for a 25 second period is like a defense and offensive cooldown use at the same time.
● Fated Power: Protoform Barrier
○ The boss summons a pulsing damage effect that, when removed, forms a barrier that shields pretty much everything trying to kill the players with a
shared 400 absorb shield. There will also be an NPC that spawns and they can be healed to bring down the shield. If the players don’t get the shield
down, it blows up and inflicts damage to the whole raid. But if you get it down first, it blows up and hurts the enemies. And also, the players get a 25%
buff to damage, healing and absorption for 40 seconds.
● Fated Power: Reconfiguration Emitter
○ Drops an incredibly annoying NPC emitter into a fight that constantly tries to cast spells which will deal a lot of Cosmic damage to the entire raid if
successful. The Emitter can’t be hurt until you hit it with an interrupt, which will deal a little damage to your raid but keep the whole of your raid from
taking a lot more damage. Once the Emitter is beaten, it gives the whole raid up to 10% Mastery, 10% Versatility, 10% Critical Strike Chance and 8
Avoidance.
● Fated Power: Replicating Essence
○ Charges a player, inflicting 3 Cosmic damage every 1 sec. for 30 sec. This effect stacks.
○ Upon removal this charge jettisons Creation Sparks to nearby locations, infusing players within 0 yards of the impact location, increasing the
flow of time by 15%, increasing casting, attack speed, cooldown recharge rate, and periodic tick rates and additionally increasing movement
speed by 45% for 20 sec. This effect stacks.
○ If a Creation Spark impacts the ground with no player present to infuse the Creation Spark explodes, inflicting 10 Cosmic damage every 2 sec for
20 sec. This effect stacks.
