“HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS”.


There are many types of buildings people from all over the world sleep in every night. Some live in big, tall
modern buildings. Others sleep in a home with wheels under it.
Here are some house types from all over the World with explanation and each used in an example sentence.

House. Farmhouse.

1. Answer the question. What do you think about staying in stranger’s home?
Well, it depends, if the person usually rents rooms in his house, maybe, but if it’s a stranger who offers
it out of the blue, it wouldn’t be comfortable for me.

I like the first one better because I find it more attractive, it has the beach nearby and several places to
visit.

This are two common sentences patterns to use with the prepositions of place.

1. The + noun + verb + preposition + the noun

When you enter my room the first thing you see is my bed, the bookshelf and the desk, my bed is in
the corner on the left side and the desk in the corner on the right side, on my desk is my laptop, my
markers and a lamp and above there are several photographs hanging; between my bed and the desk is
the bookshelf, in the bookshelf there are many books, some pictures, my camera and a small stuffed
animal, in front of the bookcase is my closet, diagonal is a sofa and a drawers, in front is another
drawers and next to it is a chair.
