What is It

At this time of pandemic, you learn independently and you face many
challenges that make you feel bad about your studies. But how do you cope up
with such circumstances with positive attitude?

What is Positive Attitude?

Positive attitude is essential to happiness, joy and progress in life. This

state of mind brings light, hope and enthusiasm into the life of those who
possess it. Adopting this in your life does not mean that everything will always
move smoothly and there will be no bumps on the road. However, it ensures
that any setback you might encounter will not stop you or change your state of
mind, and that you will go on, try again, and do your best despite any setback.
Moreover, it is a state of mind that envisions and expects favorable result.
Like what life’s ahead along the ups and downs in your life as student. Every
day, you face many struggles that make you feel down. But how do you overcome
such struggles with positive attitude?

You just need to be yourself as always, appreciate all good side in

everything that you have every day. And also, having the mind set of “I can” and”
it is possible” really a big help. Be confident and always think positive no matter
how bad is happening. This will make it easy for you to deal with the challenges.

Types of Positive Attitude

A. Directedness

Confidence is a good term for this type of positive attitude. It denotes the
straightforwardness with which one goes at what he has to do. It helps more on
how to achieve easily the things that you want to achieve well. This is best asset
that you need too.
For students like you, it is most important that in every task you do, bring
out the best in you to reach your main goal. Do anything without hesitation and
actively participate well.

B. Open- mindedness

It means accessibility of mind to any and every consideration that will

throw light upon the situation that needs to be cleared up, and it really help you
to determine the consequences of all matters. As a student, it’s hard to perform
some duties if you don’t have an open-mind because it leads you to become a
negative individual. Having an open mind is a part of your intellectual growth

3
as students because it shows the expansion of how you respond and knowing
well the purpose of all duties that you need to do.

C. Single- mindedness

This is intended to convey the completeness of interests and the unity of

purpose. It is equivalent to mental integrity which you pay your attention to one
thing. For example, your teacher gives you a task that you need to perform, -
make a poem, compose a song, and act some given situation. So, the first thing
that you need to do is to identify your interests in that particular task, because
you can’t perform well if your interest is not there. You should focus on one
thing.

D. Responsibility

It is the disposition to consider in advance the probable consequences of

any projected step and deliberately to accept them. Having a sense of taking of
account or responsibility acknowledges actions. For example, you as a student
need to be responsible in all duties not only at home but also in school.

➢ How to demonstrate positive attitude towards dealing personal task

independently and actively participate in school activities?

Here are some possible ways to demonstrate positive attitude;

1. Have faith in God.

2. Have personal goals.
3. Be nice to people around you.
4. Fill your mind with positive input.
5. Be curious and embrace learning.
6. Do your best and stop complaining.
7. Trust your ability and be confident enough.
8. Work hard and be willing to accept change.
9. Assume responsibility and choose your response.
10. Make decisions to known problems ahead of time.

If you can do the above ways of demonstrating positive attitudes towards

dealing on a personal task independently or actively, you can have a broader
out-look in life and be exposed to different opportunities.
Hooray! Amazing pace! Reflect on what you’ve just learned. Then let us
move to our next journey which will enhance your abilities and skills in doing
this battle round of learning.
