STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” –Gandhi

This quote has always been inspiring in my life. I believe learning is not confined to childhood or
the class room but takes places throughout life and in range of situations. Education enhances
social inclusion, passion, and most importantly personal development. We are currently in the
midst of a technological and computing revolution that will drastically change our lives. I am
very excited at the prospect of devoting my long-term career to such a dynamic, fast advancing
field. I began my relationship with computers and technology when I enrolled for 4years full
time degree course in Computer Engineering at K.J Institute of Engineering & Technology,
Savli in 2011. This is a premier institution in the state, affiliated to Gujarat Technological
University. At the end of my course I secured 7.34 CGPA with distinction. The course provided
me with the stimulating academic background and motivation to pursue Master’s degree in
COMPUTER SCIENCE.

During my schooling, I have been interested in Mathematics. I pursued my higher secondary

education from Parth School with 51% and secondary education from Fertilizer Nagar School
with 63.23%, which followed Central Board of Secondary Education Curriculum. During my
high school days, I am very passionate about sports. I achieve so many medals and trophies in
various sports such as Kho-Kho, Kabadi, and Relay –Race, and received medal in inter-school
tournaments.

Throughout my school and college life, I was very keen in understanding the computer related
theories and practical. My college offered me a vast curriculum of many interesting subjects such
as Operating System, Microprocessor, and Database Management System, Computer
Organization and Architecture, Data Structures, Compiler Design, Theory of
Computation, Design Analysis and Algorithms, Computer Network and many more.
Moreover, college’s academic curriculums provided me with the fundamental clarity in different
programming languages such as C++, Core Java and Advance Java, .Net as well as having
superficial knowledge about HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I got the highest marks with AB grade
in subjects of wireless communication and Contributor Personality Development. Our website
also achieve the best designing in my final year project and passed with AB grade.

During my graduation, I have done one major project with three team mates using Java
Technology. The project was on “Supply Connect System”. It helped me to enhance my
concept on Core Java and Advance Java and SQLServer. It was the turning point of my
graduation studies when I received an opportunity to work on an Industrial Training Program of
JAVA with SMARDCAD (SmardCAD is a Sub-Division of TecSo Technology Solutions India
Pvt.Ltd). It was an IDP (Industry Defined Project) and Live Project under the guidance of the
Experts. It had various abilities like displaying different modules such as user, client, supplier,
logistic, showing different 2D & 3D product and Inventory. Our system is supported by the User
and guides them through the complete Global Sourcing Process from the Quotation of the
product until delivery. We built some unique feature called tracking of goods during its
transportation period. So, client should be aware about their products. Our Project is still used in
this company. I had played very crucial role by this project.

I was encouraged to believe that academics and extra-curricular go hand in hand to form a fit
personality. My talent was further build-up in college. I have always been participating both
technical and non-technical festivals during my college. I volunteered in various events of
‘Spark’, which is well-known technical event in all over Baroda. I was always actively
participated in different sports games and won many prizes in athletics at college level, and have
always admire cultural events like Dance and Drama.

University of South Florida is a top tier research university as per the Carnegie Classification of
Higher Studies and which assures me that your institution offers excellent professors, laboratory
facilities and exceptional research work. Given a chance, I am confident that with my academic
standards and strong motivation, positive attitude and with the help of the university’s graduate
program, I will be able to make a significant contribution to research endeavors at the University.
I look upon the Computer Science program here as an avenue to build my skill and to help me
reach the culmination.

There is only one logical destination for my postgraduate studies: the USA, a country which
stands at the center of the computing universe. The US has been the most innovative and
successful companies in this field are based. USA has set a very high standard which promises
that I can well earn high quality educations that will open doors for future prospects and career
over a long term. Being a country of immigrants from all over the world, different perspectives
are respected and learning together is encouraged.
