You are on page 1of 4

The Outcome of this worksheet is to have you a priority list of job roles and industries

that align with your value (what you think it’s important in work). That job role and industry
will act as career goals in the job-seeking process, and having it makes you less likely to
feel lost

A. Finding Your Work Value

(With Muse Value Assessments)

You will see a list of personal values that often accompany work-life; assign each value a
number from 1 to 4 based on:

(1) Absolutely essential to me

(2) Desirable, but not essential
(3) Of neutral value—neither important nor unimportant to me
(4) Not of value to me; I would prefer to avoid

You can use the same number for different values. Just be honest and candid with yourself,
overthinking can make your answer not genuine. Ready?

B. Researching Your Career Path
(Inspired by Muse Grid)

Now that you know your value, let’s search for the job role that aligns with your values.

Your task is to find the top 3 job roles in a different industry (can be specified to the company
as an example) that you want to get into and explain why you want them by aligning it with
your top 3 values above.

*The role and company don’t have to be opened now (it may open later) but it helps us to
understand what kind of career and work environment you want
