1.03 SUBMITTALS
A. Manufacturer's Data: Submit manufacturer's specifications and other data for the type
of building insulation required including certification that the material complies with
the specified requirements of British Standards and Codes of Practice. Include
instructions for handling, storage, installation, protection and maintenance of
materials.
B. Samples: Submit samples size 300 x 300 mm of each type of insulation required.
Company's Representative review will be for colour and texture only. Compliance with
all other requirements must be the exclusive responsibility of the Contractor.
A. Deliver and store materials on site in covered sheds and do not allow materials to
become wet or soiled. Comply with manufacturer's recommendations for handling,
storage and protection during installation.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.01 MATERIALS
A. Rockwool:
2. Physical Properties: Provide rigid, closed-cell, Rockwool with density not less
than 60 kg/m3.
B. Miscellaneous Materials:
2. Mechanical anchors: Type and size shown or, if not shown, as recommended by
insulation manufacturer for each type of application and condition of
substrates.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 INSPECTION
A. The Contractor must examine the substrates and the conditions under which the
insulation work must be performed and correct any unsatisfactory conditions. Do not
proceed with the insulation work until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected in
a manner acceptable to the Employer Representative.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A. General:
1. Comply with manufacturer's instructions for the particular conditions of
installation. If printed instructions are not available or do not apply to the
project conditions, consult the manufacturer's technical representative for
specific recommendations before proceeding with the work.
4. Install insulation after all electric wiring, plumbing, and other concealed work is
