BIOPOEM

A bio poem is a poem with a very specific formula. It describes a person and it is ten lines long.
You can write a bio poem about yourself or about someone else the formula works either way.

Constructing a bio poem


1. 1n the first line use the person's first name

o Thomas

2. Four words describing the person

o Passionate, smart, talented, dedicated.

3. An important relationship

o Son of wealthy tobacco farmers and husband to Martha Jefferson.

4. A couple of things (at least 3) the person appreciated or loved. It can also be people.

o Loved reading, writing, and riding horses.

5. Write about feelings (at least 2) that person had in his or her lifetime

o who felt people have the right to their own destiny and government should not
interfere in people’s lives.

6. Three fears the person had

o Who feared strong government, war with France, and unpeaceful transfer
presidential power.

7. List the person's accomplishments (at least 2)

o who wrote the Declaration of Independence, was president of the United State
for two terms, designed buildings for the University of Virginia.

8. One thing the person wants or wanted to see happen

o who wanted people to have free speech.

9. The places the person lived

o born in Virginia and built and lived at Monticello.

10. The last line simply add the person's last name
o Jefferson
