When you are going to wake up the first morning in Punakha, you might want
to eat something before your big day planned. So I’m proposing a hometown
coffee place that is going to be as fast as possible for you to feel productive
and not waste 1 hour sitting while waiting for one croissant. You should go to K Cafe, a
small cafe, with diverse choices, that will make you feel good. If you're a coffee-lover, you
will be able to drink a latte or an espresso or if you're more like a tea lover, you would love
their herbal tea, their black tea or their green tea.

After your breakfast, you must go to this temple named Khamsum Yulley Namgyal
Choeten. Unlike other Buddhist temples, it is not designed for community worship,
monastic retreat or education. It is designed as a magical tool. It was built by the queen in
2004. The specific reason she built this temple is to repel negative forces and to transmit
peace and harmony to all living beings. You should go there because it will give you a
different perspective of Bhutan, a happiness syndrome and a vision of the Bhutanese
people. Moreover, the architecture is wonderful and breathtaking.

Get ready for the next activity, this will not be a traditional tour. You will go rafting, the
place I sent you is about an 11 minutes drive from your hotel. I chose this activity because it
is different from the other activities you will do the next day. Moreover the place of rafting
is magnificent and you will visit this place precisely the next day. Before doing this activity,
I may want to change into an item of clothing where it's okay if it gets wet. You could also
bring a towel, it will save you if you get wet and it's windy, this is not the time to get sick!

As I said for your moment of relaxation, I have planned a little time of rest following the
rafting in the camp of the activity. You will be able to rest and communicate
with various people who will have done the activity with you. I'm sending
you there because it avoids you to leave and simply take the time to have a
snack before going back to the hotel to change your clothes, because you
might get wet?

Before going to bed, I reserved you a place in a restaurant named "Tenphey Bhutanese
cuisine". It is a family restaurant, it is not necessarily chic, but very appreciated by the
customers. I send you to this restaurant and not to another one, because it will make you
taste the real Bhutanese cuisine. And finally it is very close to your hotel, and I imagine that
after this day you will not want to drive 30 minutes to go eat, it is exactly 1 minute walk
from your hotel which I will tell you later.

Before going on your first activity, if you enjoyed your experience at the k Cafe, you can go
back, because there are not just two choices. You can have something different than the day
before or even the same thing as the day before. Or if you don't want to stop there is a
supermarket nearby if you want to buy bread with jam or whatever you like.

Your first activity is just amazing, it represents Punakha. I strongly recommend you to go to
the Punakha dzong, because it tells a story and you will have the chance to go inside. Inside
you will find the "Hundred Pillars Hall", which has exquisite wall paintings. Also inside the
dzong, there is beautifully carved woodwork and colorful paintings. The dzong is also very
picturesque and an ideal place for photography. Finally if you go there in late June, you will
find jacaranda trees. Before you leave the temple, you should talk to the hometown people
that are going to be there. If you go inside the temple with a hat, you had to take it off.

For your second activity, you have to go, the Pho Chhu suspension bridge, which is 160 m
high, and is known to be the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan. It offers a spectacular
view of the Punakha Dzong and the Pho Chhu valley. The bridge is made of cables and steel
wires across the entire width of the river, so don't worry, you won't fall off! The Punakha
Dzong suspension bridge is an important part of Bhutan's architectural history as it was
built to connect villages to a palace. If it’s windy, the bridge might move a lot.

For your rest activity, you will have the chance to sit on the grass near the suspension
bridge and watch the birds and take some nice pictures, since as mentioned in class you
enjoy photography. You will have a beautiful view of the river and the birds that are
apparently present in the summertime. After all this emotion on the bridge which does not
seem long, but takes 16 minutes to cross, you will need a moment of rest or a moment to eat
something.

After you change your clothe, you will go to a restaurant called Center Resturant , there are
not many restaurants that are clean and appreciated by everyone, however this one
because of the pictures and comments is apparently clean and enjoyed by everyone.
Moreover, it is located within a two minutes of walks of your hotel that I will present to you
after.
