Answer:

The place that I want to telling about is Prambanan Temple, Prambanan is Hindu Temple, It is
an interesting historic place to be visited in Yogyakarta and I also have a big fascinate in this
place. The first time I went there was about 3 years old, I went there together with my parent
and my uncle. Well, I think I have gone there for about 5 times.

Prambanan temple is located on Jl. Solo about 17 kilometers from the city center, Sleman
Yogyakarta. You will find a lot of temples there, because some people call that as a Thousands
temple and Prambanan temple has three main temples which very famous for tourists in the
primary yard, namely Vishnu, Brahma, and Shiva temples. Unfortunately, so many temples have
been damaged. I dunno exactly what caused that, but perhaps because earthquake and some
people told me that someone steel the head of statue because it has a big value.

You know, Prambanan temple is open daily start from 8.00 am till 5.00 pm, and afternoon is a
better time for you to go there. Because you will get a beautiful landscape there and it will be
great to take a picture. Not only temples, you can also find souvenirs shop, restaurants, and
sometimes there are some events in the evening like traditional performance. But it is only in
the special day.

The reason why it has a historical meaning is, the story behind this building was very fantastic.
This is about love story of Bandung Bondowoso and Roro Jonggrang. As the story tells, Bandung
Bondowoso was very falling in love with Roro Jongrang. However, she did not love him. In
consequence, to refuse his love, Jonggrang asked Bondowoso to make her a temple with 1,000
statues only in one-night time. It was very impossible right? So he asked devil, jin and others to
helped him to finished the temples. Then, the request was nearly fulfilled when Jonggrang
asked the villagers to pound rice and to set a fire in order to look like morning had broken.
Feeling to be cheated, Bondowoso who only completed 999 statues then cursed Jonggrang to
be the thousandth statue. Yeah, that was very pain story but it was interesting.
