She doesn't like the prince because he has killed the father of the princess, but she is scared to refuse
the prince. Then she asks the prince to build one thousand temples and statues in one night. She thinks
the prince cannot do this task. The prince has a magical power so he says ok. He calls the demons to
help him. The demons start to build the temples in one night. The demons almost finish their job before
sunrise. The princess worries that the temples almost finish, so she asks for help from the people in the
village. She tells the people to make a big fire in the east of the temple. She also tells the people to
pound rice to make noise. The fire in the East looks like the sun rises and the noise makes the roosters
start crowing. The demons think that the morning is coming so they hide from sunlight. There are only
nine hundred and ninety nirie (999) temples and statues finish. The prince is very angry because the
princess tricks him, then she turns the princess into stone.
