Please answer the following questions.

What is perception? (5 points)

Perception is the interpretation of a person's thoughts and feelings about something. It varies from
person to person and can be either positive or negative, an expression or opinion that can alter
feelings.

What is attribution theory? What are its implications for explaining behavior in
organizations? (10 points)
Attribution theory is a method of understanding another person's actions or perception. It is a
method of observing and analyzing other people's thoughts, behavior, and actions based on how
well you know them - the implications vary depending on whether the control is internal or
external. There are numerous ways to describe behavior in an organization; it could be intentional
or inadvertent behavior, influences, or behaviors that are 'tough calls' depending on the situation
and case.

What is stereotyping? Give an example of how stereotyping can create

perceptual distortion. (10 points)
Stereotyping is when a person has a generalized belief about a specific group of people. It is a
presumption that people make about every member of a specific group. An example is that you
know someone works in Bureau of Customs who is a corrupt officer, now you believed that all
employees of the BOC are all corrupt officials. But that doesn't make any sense, just because one
person have that kind of 'definition' doesn't mean that all employees are like him. Stereotype
happens when a judgement of a person becomes biased based on only one or two thing that he
know, to a whole group or organization where that belong.

How is social learning achieved? (10 points)

I stand with Bandura's 3 ways,
A person learns how to respond to a situation by studying other people and their surroundings.
Being told teaches a person how to engage with other people by knowing something that has
been shared with him.
Direct experience may be the most effective approach for a person to learn. People learn to
assimilate and blend in/out of his society by experiencing it in different ways.
Through this three, social can be achieve.

What is learning? Why it is important for people to have an understanding of how

people learn? (10 points)
To define learning, it is the natural state of mind of acquiring information and processing it to
express feelings and behavior at all possible ways through out the whole life of a person.
Understanding how people learn makes an individual more engage in his society. Being engage, I
wanted to emphasize that learning is not a one-way method, a person learns through a situation,
in which that particular situation may be change depending on how a person is knowledgeable.
Person leans through other people, and those people may also learn about him when they
decided to be connected. An lastly, learning by experiences can also alter the society, depending
on what people in that area know that is passed through by time.
