Tania Kabbani is a graduate of McGill University in Canada, where she obtained a Bachelor of
Commerce as well as an MBA. She also completed an International exchange at HEC Paris. She has
extensive experience in private banking, in relationship management, as well as in investment
advisory, with well reputed international banks.

Tania also has an entrepreneurial flair, she started her own business in the events industry, while in
parallel, coaching entrepreneurs. She previously created and taught a private banking course at the
university level.

Tania lived in three continents, is multi-cultural and well travelled. She speaks three languages
fluently, and has a good understanding of two other languages.

I'm a senior investment professional at Shorooq Partners helping connect Korea with MENA (Middle
East & North Africa). I enjoy meeting with founders across all sectors but am especially intrigued by
those not only reimagining technology, but also outdated business models. I'm dedicated to backing
mission-driven startups with the technology and the team to disrupt the fields they are in.

My alma mater is Yale University where I double majored in Economics & History of Art and founded
the Yale Blockchain Initiative in conjunction with the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale.
Previously, I served in the Republic of Korean Army's counterterrorism unit operating in the Seoul
Metropolitan area.

When I'm not working, I like to go to the gym, visit an art gallery, or get together with friends over a
glass of wine. I love traveling and experiencing the food & drinks of different cultures
