Activity no. 2
Weather Elements
Objective: Enumerate the elements or components of the weather.
Problem: How do the weather components or elements affect the
weather?
Materials: Weather thermometer, anemometer, rain gauge, weather
chart, pen
Note: No need to buy if the said materials are not available in your
home, use weather report on t.v, radio, or newspaper as your
guide or simply go out in your house and observe the sky.
Procedure:
1. Observe the following weather elements daily for one whole week.
2. Record your observations on the table below

3. When you are done, determine the dates and time when you will
observe weather conditions in your home at the same time for a
week. Write the dates and time on the first row of the chart.

Observation Guide Questions:


1. How do the following weather elements affect the weather for the
day?
A. Air Temperature

B. Cloud Formation

C. Wind Speed and direction

D. Precipitation

2. Based on your data, which day was the hottest? The coolest?

3. How would you describe the overall conditions of the weather


throughout the whole week? Was the week generally hot and
sunny, or cold and rainy? Why do you think so?
4. How does weather affect the activities of people?
5. Did you find it easy to observe the sky? Why did you say so?
