 Pumping Arrangement
A pumping system on a ship will consist of suction piping, a pump and discharge
piping. The system is arranged to provide a positive pressure or head at some point
and discharge the liquid. The pump provides the energy to develop the head and
overcome any losses in the system.

 Piping System
Piping is used extensively throughout a ship for fire control purposes, in addition
piping systems onboard ships include ballast lines, bilge water lines, fresh water lines,
fuel oil lines, lube oil lines, hydraulic oil lines, compressed air lines, fire water lines,
CO2 line, sea water cooling line, freshwater cooling line, soil discharge line, grey
water discharge lines, dirty oil line, liquid mud line, steam line, Cargo pumping
system, OWS line, and many more.
 Gauging control system and Alarms
Tank Gauging System is designed for marine industry implementing remote tank level
measurement of ballast tanks draught fuel and cargo oil tanks level Monitoring Alarm.

 Cargo tank environmental temperature and pressure control system

This is the process of reduction of the oxygen content in a tank by introducing an inert
gas to prevent a flammable explosive, atmosphere developing between the cargo tank,
in the marine industry, a crude oil tanker with cargo tanks of an oxygen content of 8%
or less is considered to be inverted.
 Cargo heating and cooling system
Cargo heating system for oil tankers and product carriers equipped with turbine
operated cargo pumps, wherein the turbine has been modified so as to be used both for
discharge of the cargo as well as for circulation heating of the same, characterized in
that the steam exhaust channel of the turbine is also for cooling system it enables
chemical carriers to also transport low-boiling-point cargoes and semi-gases. Cargoes
such as Propylene Oxide and Isoprene are often transported on board chemical
carriers, which use our cooling system to maintain a safe cargo temperature.

 Detecting System
It is a separate high-level alarm that is installed in a designated tank for certain
cargo in order to provide warning before the tank fills. A float controlling a
switch mechanism, a capacitive pressure transmitter, an ultrasonic source, or a
radioactive source are all possible ways to set off the alarm.
 Fire Fighting System
A ship is fitted with various types of fire retardant and firefighting equipment so as to
fight any kind of fire and extinguish it as soon as possible before it turns into a major
catastrophic situation. In this article we bring to you a list of important firefighting
equipment and measures present on board. Fire Retardant Bulkhead Fire doors, Fire
Dampers Fire Pumps, Fire Main Piping and Valves, Fire Detectors and Alarms and
many more.

 Pressure Control System

The use of Pressure control system is to cool or minimize the thermal stresses and
excessive tank pressure during loading. Cool down consist of introducing cargo liquid
into tank at a low carefully controlled rate. The lower the cargo carriage temperature
the more important the cool down procedure becomes.
