1. Challenges in communication in multicultural settings abound. How are you going to

deal with those challenges? What communication strategies are you going to employ? (15

Accents and Fluency in addition to language differences, other obvious barriers include
different accents and levels of fluency because, while English is considered the standard
language internationally, non-English speakers find it difficult to understand and practice to
perfection. As a result, thriving speakers frequently felt overlooked and undervalued because
other people avoided them due to their difficulty in getting their message across due to their
lack of accent and fluency.
Repairing communication breakdowns and creating more short but understandable messages
to encourage non-native English speakers to reach out more frequently, as well as removing
the stereotype that these people are difficult to understand, which improves the connection
among people in a multicultural setting.

2. In what way can diverse cultures affect communication? (15 Points)

Globalization and international trade offer numerous opportunities, but they also present a
complex barrier of cultural differences among people all over the world. This implies that no
one is completely self-sufficient, and thus everyone is dependent on international trade. In
times of conflict, culture shapes people's attitudes. People from various cultures have
different ways of delivering and inquiring about information. Certain words or topics may be
offensive in one culture but acceptable in another. Globalization can be defined as the
globalization of ideas and products.

1. When can you say that the process of communication in a communicative situation is
complete? (15 Points)
When you've discovered a good spot of mutual interest and thus strengthened the relationship
with a shared view of continuing to learn more about each other and believing you'll be able
to help each other, adopt a mutuality minds. If the recipient accepts the message, the
communication is complete. However, if the person rejects the message, the communication
was complete but ineffective.
2. How can abiding by the principles of effective communication contribute to successful

Effective communication is defined as communication in which the receiver understands
exactly what the sender wants to convey in the same form. Voices have interfered with the
effective sending and receiving of communication. To communicate, any method of
communication, such as words, may be used. Recognizing the significance of speech acts has
shed light on language's ability to do more than just describe reality.
3. What will happen if the principles of ethical communication are violated? (15 Points)
Legal violations indicate that you are not communicating, and violations of this ethics may
result in punishment and penalty. You don't have to tell someone else everything about your
personal life just because they're curious. Manipulation, deception, and disingenuousness are
all morally wrong in most situations. On the other hand, one does not normally have the
moral obligation to respond to every question posed, say, by a stranger.
4. Why is being able to communicate effectively in a globalized world important? (15

Communication is critical in globalization because people from different countries,
ethnicities, languages, cultural attitudes, and other differences must understand and express
themselves effectively in order to work together. Extremely important, I considered it and
realized a significant advantage, constant communication skills. My results were slightly
better than average, but far from perfect. Nonetheless, they were extremely beneficial. They
assisted me in pursuing a personal and professional path I never imagined possible.
5. Give and explain 1 communicative situation in which cultural differences are not
respected. (15 Points)
A tourist from another country visited a tourist attraction in your area. Because this visitor
does not speak English or your mother tongue language, he chose to communicate with you
in their dialect with some sign languages that the locals do not understand. Instead of
assisting the foreigner, locals laughed at him and did not attempt to assist him. For me, this is
a communication situation in which cultural differences are not respected.
6. Why must the components of an intercultural event be considered when communicating?
Understanding of a culture's language and customs is referred to as knowledge. The term
"skills" refers to both fundamental communication skills and the experience of interacting
with people from various backgrounds. Intercultural communication is communication
between people from different cultural backgrounds. It provides the ability to deal with
people from different cultures, which is becoming increasingly important as the world
shrinks.
