2. The adjustment must provide vibrational comfort for the passengers and crew. The system uses the vibration
measurements supplied by the accelerometers and the rotor azimuth sync sensor (ROTOR TOP) as the only
sources of information.
a. A set of sensors (accelerometers and rotor azimuth sync sensor (ROTOR TOP)).
d. A PC (ground station) with the STEADY Control - ABSORBER software for calculation of the cabin vibration
absorber adjustment parameters.
F. Job Set-up
BEFORE YOU DO ANY ADJUSTMENT, MAKE SURE THAT THE TIGHTENING
TORQUE VALUES OF THE WEIGHT AND BLADE ATTACHMENT NUTS ARE
CORRECT:
- ANTIVIBRATORS WITH MOVABLE WEIGHTS (Figure 7):
– 1,4 daN.m IN THE Y AXIS
– 1,5 daN.m IN THE Z AXIS
– 1,7 - 2 daN.m IN THE Y AXIS
– 1,7 - 2 daN.m IN THE Z AXIS
– Remove carpets, covering panels and other equipment items where necessary.
NOTE:
a. Pilot's seat:
1. Install accelerometer Item N°7 behind the Pilot's seat at the RH (outer) end of the rail.

b. Pilot's side:
1. According to the case, erase the red paint marks on the blades of the movable-weight type antivibrator.
2. Cut and remove the lockwire (12) from the clamping plate attachment screws (20-10-00, 3-1) (Figure 5).
3. Check the tightening torque of the blade clamping plate attachment screws (Figure 5).
4. Depending on the case, bond or secure accelerometer N° 4 (1) by means of a bolt (5) at the top or in the
centre of the flapping weight. (Figure 3).
5. Depending on the case, bond or secure accelerometer N°3 (2) by means of a bolt (5) in the center of the
clamping plate (Figure 3).
c. Copilot's side:
4. Depending on the case, bond or secure accelerometer N°2 (4) by means of a bolt (5) on the top and in the
center of the flapping weight (Figure 3).
5. Depending on the case, bond or secure accelerometer N°1 (3) by means of a bolt (5) in the center of the
clamping plate (Figure 3).
1. Route the wiring along the landing gear and into the cabin, through the Pilot's collective pitch lever hole.
1. Remove the access plates located on the left of the console and on the floor on the copilot's side.
2. According to the case, erase the red paint marks on the blades of the movable-weight type antivibrator.
3. Depending on the case, bond or secure accelerometer N°6 (1) by means of a bolt (5) on the RH side and in
the center of the weight.
4. Install metal support (3) on the first screw of the floor access plate.
5. Bond accelerometer N°5 (2) on metal support (3) (CM 6015 adhesive).

CHECK THAT THE WIRING IS CORRECTLY ROUTED AND SECURED TO PREVENT
ANY PROBLEMS DURING THE ADJUSTMENT TECHNICAL FLIGHTS.
1. Install the acquisition unit on one of its sides inside the helicopter behind the copilot's seat, and secure it using
the adhesive Velcro tape.
NOTE:
It is not necessary to install a rotor azimuth sync sensor; one is already installed
on the MGB. The signal supplied by the rotor azimuth sync sensor is routed to an
ancillary connector located on the center console between the pilot and the copilot.
4. Connect the rotor azimuth sync sensor cable to ancillary connector (1) located at the bottom of the center
console (Figure 2).
5. Connect the other end of the rotor azimuth sync sensor cable to the ROTOR TOP connector (7) located on the
rear face of the acquisition unit.
Cable Designation and No. Acquisition Unit Connector
7. All these connectors are located on the rear face of the acquisition unit.
8. Connect the 28 Volt power supply cable to the 28 V connector (6) (Figure 1) (located on the rear face of the
acquisition unit, and to the helicopter 28 V (2) (Figure 2) ancillary connector.
9. Connect the control unit cable to the CONTROL PANEL connector (1) located on the front face of the
acquisition unit.
10. Remove the screw (10) and open the PCMCIA card cover.
11. Insert the PCMCIA CONFIG card (card containing the adjustment program) into slot B, i.e. the lower slot (3)
located at the front of the acquisition unit.

12. Insert the PCMCIA RESULT card (blank card) into slot A, i.e. the upper slot (2) located on the front face of
the acquisition unit.
14. Close circuit breaker (5) located on the front face of the acquisition unit.
d. Check that the access panels located on the LH side (copilot's side) of the console have been reinstalled.
a. For the use of the measuring equipment, refer to and comply with the user's manual.
a. Control unit (3) is used to erase the files from the PCMCIA card. (Figure 2).
c. Push button (8) is used to initialise the acquisition unit (Figure 1).
a. Acquisition unit
1. When the STEADYControl system is turned on, the message "ANTI-VIBRATOR ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM"
appears on the control unit display (3) (Figure 2).
3. After a few seconds of resetting, the message "ANTI-VIBRATOR ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM" is displayed again
on the control unit display (3) (Figure 2).
b. PCMCIA card
NOTE:
This function makes it possible to erase all the information saved on the card
when there is no more memory space on the "RESULT" PCMCIA card. The
"RESULT" PCMCIA card can store a large amount of saved information
(depending on its memory capacity).

NOTE:
2. Move the weight(s) (14) and/or (15) along the blade(s) in accordance with the corrections proposed by the
STEADYCONTROL Absorber software.
NOTE:
Do no correct the adjustment when the system proposes corrections of less than
0,2 mm.
2. Remove or add washers (9) according to the corrections proposed by the STEADYCONTROL software (Figure
5 and Figure 6).
3. Check the tightening torque of weight attachment nuts (10) and (13) (Figure 5 and Figure 6).
NOTE:
Do not correct the adjustment when the system proposes corrections of less than
4 washers per antivibrator.
10. Tolerances
d. After adjustment, add 2 washers (9) to compensate for the weight of the accelerometer (Figure 5 and Figure 6).
