1.0 Introduction
Frisbee or Ultimate Frisbee is one of the sports played by players with a flying disc called
frisbee. Ultimate is a non- contact team game which each team consist of six players or four
to requires the game to play. Ultimate was created in 1968 a group of students at Colombia
High School in Maplewood, New Jersey. The main component in this game which is frisbee
used pie tins and cake pan lids before plastic disc were invented.

Frisbee Pie Tin by the Frisbee Pie Company

In December 1979, the first national player run ultimate organization was founded in United
States as the Ultimate Players Association (UPA). Even before UPA some of the events
sponsored by the International Frisbee Association (ICA). After 54 years Ultimate frisbee
invented, the popularity of the sport spread widely and quickly. In Malaysia, Malaysia Flying
Disc Association (MFDA) is the association that develop, encourage, and promote flying disc
sports in Malaysia. They also represent Malaysia in any international events. MFDA also a
full member of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) which is the international
governing body for flying disc sports.

2.0 Objectives and Purposes
Frisbee combines both offensive and defensive strategies that involve fast-paced play and are
rich in fine points that apply to everyday life.

1. Adapting and adjusting

- A player must adapt and adjust to his surroundings in order to give it his all. For example,
a player must play efficiently regardless of how strong the winds are or how slushy the
ground is. This lesson teaches the player to counter all obstacles in life and to work hard
to do their best in all circumstances.

2. Finding new friends

- Most people who play frisbee do so because they have a special community spirit with
the other players. This encourages players to continue playing the sport and enhances
their overall experience.

3. Teach us to think clearly

- An emotional player is unable to think straight and intelligently. Their decision-making
abilities become worse, and the way they play their game becomes inefficient. As a result,
players are always encouraged to play with a clear mind and to control their anger or high
emotion.

4. Moving on
- Players normally make errors and mess up while playing, but they must quickly brush it
off and proceed with the game. There is no time to look back on mistakes or mishaps.

3.0 Sport Game
3.1 Rules and regulation
1. Play
- Begins with both teams lining up in front of their respective endzone lines. defense. The
disc is thrown ("pulled") to the offense by the defense. Each team in a regulation game
has seven players.

2. Scoring
- The offense scores a point every time a pass is completed in the defense's endzone. After
each score, play begins.

3. Movement
- By completing a pass to a teammate, the disc can be advanced in any direction. Players
are not permitted to run with the disc. The person holding the disc (the thrower) has ten
seconds to throw it. The stall count is kept by the defender guarding the thrower (marker).

4. Change of possession
- When a pass is not done (e.g., out of bounds, drop, block, interception), the defense
immediately takes possession of the disc and becomes the offense.

5. Substitutions
- After a score and during an injury timeout, players who are not in the game may replace
players who are in the game.

6. Non-contact
- No physical contact between players is allowed. Picks and screens are also not permitted.
When there is contact, there is a foul.

7. Fouls
- Occur when one player initiates contact with another. When a foul disrupts possession,
the game continues as if the possession had been retained. If the player who committed
the foul does not agree with the call, the play is redone.

3.2 Facilities and equipment specifications

Facilities
The ultimate field
The field for Ultimate Frisbee is 40 yards (37 meters) wide and 120 yards (110 meters) long.
Although almost any size is acceptable if both sides of the field are equal. The playing area is
70 yards long and each end zone is 25 yards deep. A human step is approximately one yard in
length, so counting your steps is the simplest way to measure out a field on the fly. A Brick
Mark is located 20 yards (18 meters) from the end zone on both sides of the field. Bricks are
sometimes not marked, even at legitimate tournaments, so keep in mind that Bricks are 20
steps in-field. The playing field is the entire 40 x 120 box. The frisbee will be considered out
of bounds if it leaves this area. You don't need to know this, but the field's exact center is 20
yards from the sideline and 35 yards from the end zone line. You are now officially prepared
to set up a fantastic Ultimate field.

Equipment
Name Description
- Wham-O produced the original disc,
labeled the "Ultimate Frisbee Disc." The
product name given to the discs used in
Ultimate is "Frisbee," but Wham-O
discs are typically looked down upon
because their original standard cannot be
assimilated into the game.

Frisbee disc
- Cleats are necessary for running
properly on the field and providing
excellent ground support. The type of
cleats you get will be determined by
what you want in a shoe.

Cleats
- It is advised not to wear cotton shirts,
but rather to wear breathable and light
shirts, such as a jersey.
- The shorts should be flexible,
lightweight, and breathable, but not so
tight that they get caught on your legs
while running.
- Athletic socks are thicker, which helps
your shoes fit better. Because there is
Clothing less space between the inside of your
shoe and your foot, your feet will not
slide around in them.

3.3 Referee

6
The referee's responsibility is to maintain the game under control according to the player and
referee's predetermined presentation. In a variety of sports and competitions, a referee is an
official who is responsible for upholding the sport's regulations, including sportsmanship
choices such as ejection. On frisbee, the referee calls as “ultimate frisbee” which is a non-
contact or self-referred team game played by players with a flying disc and flung by a human.
It is considered that players will not actively break the rules and will be forthright with their
opponents when discussing foul calls.
The goal of the game is for two teams of seven players to battle on a field that is roughly the
same length as a football field but narrower. An end zone is located at each end of the playing
field. Each side has one end zone to defend. If one of their players catches the disc in the
opposing end zone, they score a goal. The thrower is the player who throws the disc. The disc
cannot be run with by the thrower. They move the disc instead by passing it to teammates in
any direction. If an attacking team's throw is not caught by a teammate, the defensive team
takes possession of the disc. The defensive team then switches to offense and might attempt
to score in the opposing end zone.
Ultimate frisbee – Spirit of the game ultimate is based on a Spirit of the Game that holds
each player accountable for fair play. Even at the World Championship, there are no referees;
the players are fully responsible for following and enforcing the rules. Competitive play is
encouraged, but not at the price of player respect, adherence to the rules, or the enjoyment of
the game.
The spirit of the game refers to the attentive behavior that players engage in before, during,
and after a game. It encompasses attitudes and skills like as good rule understanding and
implementation, fairness, safe play, spatial awareness, clear and calm communication, and a
positive and polite attitude toward teammates, fans, and opponents, all in the name of
preserving the core joy of play.

4.0 Modified Mini Competition

8
5.0 Competitive Match System
For this sports workshop and mini frisbee sports game that will be held, our team decided to
use a single-elimination tournament for the match system. There are seven teams at
RSR1114C and RSR1114D combined, so we decided to do a single-elimination match
system. So, there will be one team that will advance to the semi-finals without playing a
game in the early stages. This system is called the "bye system" which refers to a team
automatically advancing to the next round of tournament play without competing. We will
make this system by random voting and automatically selected groups to the semi-finals
according to the bye system.
