The Little STEP

 
If we work hard to get something in our life we surely achieve. The process to achieve a
great goal seems too difficult if we are not persistent. To achieve anything in our lives what
we need is to follow a pathway and every step of this pathway is hard if the goal is great but
we should not be afraid of these steps and show perseverance so every step makes the next
one much easier. As a famous saying, to achieve something in life,

“Think big! Start small!  Act fast!”  

There was an incident in my life which changed my life completely and dragged me into the
never-ending race of knowledge. I took a single step towards it and then I got a lot. When I
was a child I had a keen interest in Machines. I had not any knowledge in this regard but I
had a great curiosity that how every machine works. I felt an attraction in every kind of
machine. I urged to learn about machines and wanted to create an awesome machine by
myself. I had set up a goal for my life and now what I had to do is to take the first-ever step.
Surely, I could not make a robot or something at that stage but could start my journey. So, I
started searching for how a machine works and how to create simple machines.    
One day, it was 31st In December 2015, I was 13 years old boy who had a huge love for
machines, I was searching for how to create a robot at home on the internet, and got access
to an out-class website. They asked for a subscription for a course in which they were going
to teach us about machines and would give us projects. I subscribed to this and waited for 6
hours to get admitted. It was the day that completely changed my life. On that day I did not
even know what I was going to get from this and which could create a strong impact on my
whole career. It was my first step towards a brighter future which lead to my passion. I
could not say that it was hard but I worked to go through the first step towards my goal.
The whole course was for 6 months and they were going to teach us about simple machine
language as well as physics behind the machine that was a beginner level course and we
supposed to create a grand project at the end of this course which would be a machine.
Hurrah! I was into the exact thing I had urged for. At that age, it was difficult for me to learn
these things so I totally focused on them and could not do well in my school studies. During
that time everyone told me that I was wasting my time and I should leave this course. Even
my father told me to leave it but I stuck to it and somehow managed to convince him
because I wanted to achieve my goal in any case. Those 6 months with that course gave me
a lot of knowledge. Now the most interesting part of the course occurred when we had to
create our project and I created a remote-control car all by myself. After such meaningful
learning, I felt the rote learning of my school to be too easy.
 Now my thirst for knowledge increases as my second step was done in the form of a course.
I bought some books regarding robot projects and started to study them. Now I had to be
on the next step to learn new things so I started participating in different competitions and
worked on a lot of small projects regarding robotics. I had worked for about more than
three years on these things as well as continue my academics. At the age of 18 and I had
worked on more than 20 robotics-related projects and from all these, I had learned a lot and
realize that computer is the backbone of every machine I wanted to pursue my career in
 computer science and then do combined study in robotics. This all was just because of the
first step I took for my interest.
The most interesting fact is that in the whole journey of 5 years from 2015 to 2020. I have
created my own pathway according to my interest and acquire great knowledge as well I
was the top position holder in academics every year in my institution. I have done well in my
academics just because I have not left my interest and thus always dedicated to my work.
In conclusion, I just want to say that we should do things in which we have an interest. We
should not be afraid to take little steps even its time consuming but these steps eventually
become very fruitful for our life and career. Every time we learn a new thing from our
experience so we should do struggle in our life for our goals and our passion. Sometimes it
seems difficult to do but step by step and gradual hard-work makes it much easier. You
surely get the achievement if you show perseverance.
