DEFINITION OF WORDS

1. SKINNY
DENOTATION - lacking sufficient flesh, very thin body
CONNOTATION - implies that someone is too
unattractive and unhealthy looking
PERSONAL DEFINITION - skinny means very thin less
nutrients and slender

2. INQUISITIVE
DENOTATION - curious or inquiring
CONNOTATION - being curious about something
that is not one's business
PERSONAL DEFINITION - means being interested in
something and the affairs of other people.

3. MATURE
DENOTATION - fully developed physically,
fully-grown
CONNOTATION - being careful and being
thorough, advance state of mental
development
PERSONAL DEFINITION - means your
advanced in your physical or meantsl state

4. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

DENOTATION - an individual is obligated to work

and cooperate with other individuals
CONNOTATION - understanding of 'right' and
'wrong' and the willingness to behave
PERSONAL DEFINITION - it is a moral obligation
and people should act in a manner.

5. AMBITION
DENOTATION - the desire to do for personal
advancement or preferment and may suggest
equally an inordinate desire.
CONNOTATION - strong desire to do or achieve
something
PERSONAL DEFINITION - to fulfill and achieve
something that you want or an act of strong courage.

6. GOOD MANNERS
DENOTATION - polite or well-mannered behavior
CONNOTATION - being considerate of how others
are feeling. Showing kindness towards other
people.
PERSONAL DEFINITION - treating other people with
courtesy and politeness and showing correct
behavior.

7. CHEAP
DENOTATION - low in price worth more than it
cost.
CONNOTATION - people who are unpleasant and
distasteful and low
PERSONAL DEFINITION - it is for the things that is
low price

8. ASSERTIVE
DENOTATION - disposed of for characterized by
hold or confident statements.
CONNOTATION - someone who is self-confident
and strong-willed
PPERSONAL DEFINITION - a person that behaves
confidently and is not frightened to say what is
on his or her mind.

9. PROTEST
DENOTATION - a written declaration, typically by a
notary
CONNOTATION - expressing disapproval or objection
on what someone has done
PERSONAL DEFINITION - protest is publicly
demonstrating an objection to a policy of action.

10. SENTIMENTAL
DENOTATION - the value of something to someone
because of personal or emotional association
CONNOTATION - prompted by feelings of
tenderness or sadness
PERSONAL DEFINITION - when you reflect something
in your past having nostalgic feeling about it.

WHAT I KNOW

I quite familiar with the other words that is being

given. And now, i already know how expand each

difinitions of the given words. I know how to classify

and define each given word.

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW

I want to excercise how to expand the definitions

because i have quite doubt when i am answering the

activities. And sometimes i cant narrate the

definitions of the given words.

WHAT I LEARNED

I learned how to expand the definitions of the word

but sometimes i think i need more time to practice it.

And i also became familiar about the process of

expanding.
