1. Based on the discussions, identify an area in the hospitality industry that you are interested in. Identify
the different areas of workstations in the area of your choice.
 I am interested in the Front of the House area wherein all the interaction in the guest will occur. The
different areas of workstations that I chose are lobby, restaurant and cafes.

2. How do you differentiate anthropometrics and ergonomics?

 Anthropometrics involves the systematic measurement of the physical properties of the human body
wherein it includes the size, height, and weight and arm length while the ergonomics involves using of
anthropometric to improve the interaction of people with the product and system also to protect the
people in their daily lives.

3. What are the benefits of an ergonomically designed workstation?

 For me, people that work in ergonomically designed workstation will feel less hassle and less tension in
their body. Example is when the height of an employee fits on their workstation it will prevent the
straining of their necks.
 The employee or people will feel comfortable and that will lead to an increase of the productivity level.
 It will also improve the employee engagement because when you are investing in the health and safety
of the employee it will increase the employees’ satisfaction.
