EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
TikTok has been a digital cocaine crack for many reasons. It is dangerously addictive.
This app is so problematic that scientists recently coined the term “TikTok addiction”.
Users are not only using TikTok, but they have become dependent on it. The user, from
being able to control, gradually loses himself to this powerful drug. This drug will dictate
their every movement, thought, and behaviour. Instead of simply advising Tiktok users to
stop or limit their using time of this app, we have several long-term solutions to this
problem, such as
2. BACKGROUND
Launched in 2018, TikTok is a popular social media app that allows users to make,
watch, and share 15-second videos recorded with mobile devices. The app is remarkable
for its addictive quality and high levels of engagement, thanks to its personalized feeds of
quirky short videos set to music and sound effects. By September 2021, it had
approximately one billion active monthly users worldwide. The format of this app is
mainly created for entertainment purposes. Moreover, it is increasingly being used to
promote and sell products. Popular video topics include beauty, fashion, personal finance,
and cooking.
3. PROPOSAL
Of the 1 billion people in the world using the monthly Tiktok platform, 6.4% (or 64
million people) are classified as "at risk" of this application addiction, while 25.4% are at
low risk. Moreover, it may still be addictive, according to a study published by
Cosmopolitan.
Worldwide, by 2020, according to a recent study, an average person spends about 75
minutes watching short videos on Tiktok. In 2021, an average user used about 91 minutes
a day.
All things on the interface of Tik Tok have the same purpose: make you use it more.
Facebook algorithm constantly suggests articles from places where you don't even follow.
Tiktok contains all fast and short videos, stimulating the entertainment to the extreme and
surfing you unconsciously.
Here are the steps you can apply to significantly minimise Tiktok use time in a day.
 Step 1: Motivation and discipline: As well as drug addiction and other addictive
substances, the most basic thing is that you "want" to detox it.
 Step 2: Minimise the number of posts: Posting too much of your time takes a lot of
time, from thinking about how to have a good video, and then sometimes come to
count your heart, count sharing ... This will be limited if you release.
 Step 3: Unfollow all the useless things. News of tabloids, showbiz, bullshit,
politics, dramas, controversial views ... In general, things are useless and/or make
you more tired, throw them all in the trash. What is not related to you, you don't
need to worry.
 Step 4: Use Tiktok on your computer: Computers are not as convenient as phones,
you only limit some losses that can be used by the computer.
 Step 5: Discipline: Use some useful software to limit the use time
 Step 6: Busy: You cannot tell yourself that you can not think about Facebook, you
will be obsessed with it again. You need to fill your schedule with busyness, to the
point that you forget Tik Tok and social networks that exist.
4. BENEFITS
The short-term benefit of our campaign is that it helps reduce time using Tik Tok, spend
time on other activities that are more useful to yourself: study, play sports, interacting
with friends, ...
The long-term benefit of our campaign is that people will be aware of the harmful effects
of TikTok, so that they will be more careful when using social media in general and
TikTok in particular.

8. CONCLUSION
Through this project, my team hopes everyone can have a clearer view of Tiktok.

overused them and accidentally hurt ourselves. Do not become a victim of the "drug" Tik
Tok.
