BE GOING TO
Este tempo verbal utiliza-se para:
- Planos e Decisões já tomadas em relação ao futuro.
Como se constrói este tempo verbal:
I am going to visit my grandmother next week. – Afirmativa
I’m not going to visit my grandmother next week. – Negativa
Are you going to visit your grandmother next week? - Interrogativa
- Conclusões que tiramos a partir do que estamos a ver.
Exemplo: Look at the clouds! It is going to rain soon.

Respostas curtas:
Are you going to visit your grandmother next weekend? Yes, I am. /No, I’m not.
Is your mother going to work tomorrow? Yes, she is. /No, she isn’t.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS
Este tempo verbal utiliza-se para:
- Algo combinado para um futuro próximo:
Exemplo: I am having dinner with my parents this evening.

WILL
Este tempo verbal utiliza-se para:
- Previsões em relação ao futuro:
Exemplo: I think I will go to Paris next year. (Eu penso que irei a Paris no próximo
ano).
- Promessas em relação ao futuro:
Exemplo: I promise I will study harder. (Eu prometo que irei estudar mais
arduamente).
- Decisões tomadas no momento em que falamos:
Exemplos:
A: I’m hungry!
B: I will make you a sandwich!
I have a headache. I will take an aspirin. – Eu tenho dor de cabeça. Vou tomar
uma aspirina.
Como se constrói este tempo verbal:
I will take an aspirin. – Afirmativa
I won’t (a forma curta de will not) take an aspirin. – Negativa
Will you take an aspirin? – Interrogativa

Respostas curtas:
Will you come to Portugal next month? Yes, I will. / No, I won’t.
Will she visit her grandparents next weekend? Yes, she will. / No, she, won’t.
