The movie “Jose Rizal” tells us about the life of our
national hero which is Jose Rizal. The film showed us the life of the filipinos through jose rizal’s story.
In the movie the life of the filipnos in that time was
very hard. Filipinos are obliged to obey every law and every words of the spanish friars. It also shows us how spanish friars take advantage of the ignorance of the filipinos. They abused filipinos in different ways for example the friars raped young girls. It shows us that the catholic church in that time uses their influence and power to get what they want. In the story Dr. Jose Rizal just wanted for the filipinos and spaniards have equal rights but the spaniards never give it to them instead they punish whoever oppose the way they run the country for example the father burgos who wanted to be a priest but the spaniards neglect it and punish the father burgos by executing him in front of all the other filipinos It was also shown in the movie how Dr. Jose Rizal inspired the Filipinos to fight for their freedom and rights through the novels he wrote. Many people opened their eyes that leads through the creation of the revolutionary group or the Kataas- taasang,Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga anak ng bayan led by the founder of katipunan Andres Bonifacio.
The Freedom we have today is all thanks to our
heroes who fought for our motherland, either by weapons or a single pen. Because of this movie I learned that we should value our own race that we should fight for our country just like the heroes. The bravery of those filipinos who gave their last breath to fight for motherland the philippines. I was inspired by their patriotism. I was slightly guilty because I always praised other countries instead of our countries. We filipinos may not be under any countries influence now but most of us forget who we really are and we tend to copy other countries way of living because of this we are forgetting that we are FILIPINOS not Foreigners.
