God's will for our lives has reason and purpose. In discerning God's will, we
can find meaning. It is said, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern
what the will of God is”.
God’s Will is mysterious. One cannot determine it unless he/she has a deeper
connection with Him.

Jesus, our Lord, You have called us together, to be gathered before
you, in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. God of grace, you have made
our minds and our hearts. You fill us with your Holy Spirit, so together we
may celebrate your glory and worship you in spirit and in truth.
We adore you, we adore your might and eternal goodness. You, who
love us so great, are always ready to share with us your life. With all
humility, we worship you in this holy hour.

Lord Jesus, thank you for the gift of your presence. Thank you for
the gift of your forgiveness and mercy. We lift up to you our lives in
thanksgiving to your ever abiding presence in our journey of fulfilling the
Will of the Father. All this we ask in your most holy name. Amen!

INVOCATION TO THE SPIRIT
"Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening." Speak to us now, Lord! We want to
make room for your Word, to allow the words of the Gospel to permeate our
lives so that You become the light the strength of our way. Enliven and
transform our attitudes. We all want to mature in the way of listening to Your
words so that our hearts may be transformed.
In us, there is a desire to read and to understand. We are depending on Your
bounty and generosity to be guided in our comprehension of Your Word.
Let Your word to our hearts not find any obstacles or resistance, so that Your
word of life does not flow in vain or in the dried desert of our lives. Enter
into our empty hearts with the power of Your Word. Come among our
thoughts and feelings. Come to live with us in the light of Your truth.

REFLECTION
Jesus presents Himself as the one who come to "fulfill the law": "Do
not think I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets: I came not to
abolish but to fulfill them ". The consequences of such words are thus They do no wrong; they walk in God's ways.
understood as “only through Him what we can enter the kingdom of heaven, You have given them the command to keep your precepts with care.
even the smallest of the commandments makes sense through Him”. It's like May my ways be firm in the observance of Your laws!

In the Old Testament, these truths were seen like separate and

DIVINE PRAISES
In the person of Jesus these three truths are unified: they find their
meaning and value as Jesus declares openly that He has come to fulfill the FINAL HYMN
Law and the Prophets.
Each of us are called and sent for a special purpose. There is a
certain task or duty designated for us to accomplish. In doing so, like Jesus,
we are to fulfil not to abolish the law. We are to glorify God, not ourselves.
As we pause for reflection, let us examine our way of carrying out God’s
special task for us. Are we truly open to respond to God’s will? Do we fulfil
His mission no matter how difficult or challenging it is, or just those which
we find convenient and easy?
CLOSING PRAYER
Lord, you invite to us to obey you with personal effort. Such possibility is not
only an external obligation but a gift granted to the one that puts his
confidence in you. We are aware and convinced that in order to enter the
Kingdom of heaven, we must not only rely on our individual

commitment, but from a familiar and constant dialogue with your Word. As
the Psalm says:
Happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk by the teaching of the
LORD.
Happy are those who observe God's decrees, who seek the LORD with all
their heart.
