Glossary of terms

1. Overview: A general review or summary of a subject.


2. Paraphrasing: express the meaning of (something written or spoken) using different
words, especially to achieve greater clarity.
Example: "you can either quote or paraphrase literary texts"
3. Meeting: an assembly of people for a particular purpose, especially for formal
discussion.
Example: "we held an urgent meeting to discuss the response to the epidemic"
4. Adverbials: are words that we use to give more information about a verb. They
can be one word (angrily, here) or phrases (at home, in a few hours) and often say
how, where, when or how often something happens or is done, though they can also
have other uses.

5. Negatives: a word, affix, or phrase expressing negation.

6. Sentence: a set of words that is complete in itself, typically containing a subject and
predicate, conveying a statement, question, exclamation, or command, and
consisting of a main clause and sometimes one or more subordinate clauses.

7. Redesign; design (something) again or in a different way.


Example: "the front seats have been redesigned"

8. Narrow: of small width in relation to length.


Example: "he made his way down the narrow road"

9. Failure: lack of success.


Example: "An economic policy that is doomed to failure"

10. Learning: the acquisition of knowledge or skills through study, experience, or being
taught.
Example: "these children experienced difficulties in learning"
