    This weekly reading plan for grades 1 and 2 outlines activities and goals for each reading level: 1) Non-readers will recognize letter sounds and names through modeling, guided practice, and independent practice using flashcards and videos. 2) Students at the frustration level will learn to read CV and CVC patterns using decodables, modeling, and the Fuller approach. 3) Instructional students will read word phrases and sentences at a grade 2 level with accuracy and spell simple words. 4) Independent readers will read a whole story with comprehension, spell words from it, and make a storyboard. The plan aims to improve reading skills through explicit teaching strategies.
