Purpose of Job: Qualifications:

 Provide an effective Quality Assurance and Quality
Control service to ensure an optimised
manufacturing process.
 Responsible for the quality laboratories (labs)
reviews, assisting with compliance to required and
relevant quality management systems and the
provision of the effective QA support to factory
labs
Experience:
 In depth understanding and knowledge of the
Cement manufacturing process
 At least 3 - 4 years’ experience within the
quality assurance department of a cement
manufacturing environment and good
knowledge of quality assurance systems and
relevant ISO standards.
 Degree in Chemistry/ Analytical or Industrial
option.
 Proficiency in ICT.
Special Requirements:
 Valid Driving license
 Working knowledge of spectroscopy (both
XRF and XRD)
 Working knowledge of concrete and mortar
testing methods
 Fluent both in French and English
 Willing to work long hours
 Passion in scientific research

 Key Outputs:
 Ensuring that the cement manufacturing process and laboratory (sampling and testing) meets
minimum QA standards.
 Setting optimal raw material and process (raw mix and cement control parameters) parameters
 Manage product performance to regulatory, PPC’s and customer specifications.
 Competent complement of staff
 Budget and capex management
 Assisting with compliance to required and relevant quality management systems.
 Effective leadership to company standards – positive climate (internal & plant team functioning)
 Develop and assist with implementation of Quality Best Practices (QBP) and ensure compliance to
minimum standards.
 Satisfied internal and external customers
 Applied value based management principles
 Root cause analysis and problem solving
 Safe working environment and compliance to all legal and quality requirements
