REMARKS:

1. The above barrier distance colculation is for the Ir-192 Source in unshileded condition and with the usage of Tungsan
colimeter.

2. The above colculations are guidelines only. The R.P.O shall calculate the actual Barrier distance accroding the source
stregnth of that day.

3. The Gamma ray constant is taken as 4.8 msv/hr.

4. Dose rate at barrier is 7.5 pSvihr as stipulated in SCENR guidelines.

5. One Curie (Ci) = 3.7×1010 decays per second and half life of Iridium 192 is 74 days.
