The erection of an
important Oleochemicals
production plant is in
progress. The plant has a
capacity of 250 t/24h of
feedstock, typically
coming from South East
Asia (palm oil and
palm-kernel oil) and it
includes:

- a splitting unit, working

at high pressure (59 bar),
UNITOWER type;

- a fractional distillation
plant equipped with a
TOPPING column + 3
structured packing
columns suitable to
produce different fractions
of fatty acids (from C12 to
C18) with very high
purities (98 up to 99%);

- a high pressure (25 bar)

hydrogenation plant
based on the Loop
Reactor, suitable to
produce stearic acid with
a I.V. lower than 1;

- a complete line for the

recovery and refining of
glycerine coming from
sweet waters. The start-up
of the plant is scheduled
within the year.

The erection of a fatty acids and glycerine production plant

(capacity 50 t/24h) is nearly completed. This plant includes a
splitting unit working at 30 bar (CONTIPERCOL type), a
distillation of fatty acids with a structured packing column.

Denmark

GIANAZZA Engineering completed the doubling of the

distillation and bleaching line of glycerine from Biodiesel;
thanks to this enlargement, the overall capacity of the plant is
now of 90 t/24h of crude glycerine.

In late June 2006, GIANAZZA Engineering signed a contract for

the supply of one continuous solvent extraction plant of oil from
rapeseed and/or sunflower cake. This plant, TURNEX type, has
a capacity of 70 t/24h and the oil will be destined to Biodiesel
production. The plant will be delivered by spring 2007 and it will
be working at full capacity within fall of the same year.

Before end of 2006, another important customer in this country

signed a contract with GIANAZZA Engineering for the supply of
one complete plant for production of refined seed oil (for both
edible use and Biodiesel production). The supply includes one
plant for continuous solvent extraction, TURNEX type, with a
capacity of 75 t/24h of pre-pressing cake and a complete line
for the oil refining with a capacity of 50 t/24h of crude oil,
suitable to carry out both physical and chemical refining.

Malaysia

GIANAZZA Engineering successfully completed the start-up of

a plant for the distillation & bleaching of glycerine from
soaplyes (capacity 11 t/24h of crude glycerine). The final
product has a glycerol content of 99,7% minimum and it
complies with the most restrictive international specifications in
force in Europe and in the U.S. The plant is provided with a full
automation and computerized supervision system.

Ecuador

An important producer of RBD palm oil, who has been using for
over twenty years a physical refining plant supplied by our
Company, has placed an order for a flash distillation column of
packed type plus some ancillary equipment for revamping of
the a.m. plant in view of reaching a final capacity of 150 t/24h.
The revamped plant is expected to be fully operating by late
March 2007.

United Arab Emirates

GIANAZZA Engineering started the erection of a complete line

for the recovery and refining of glycerine coming from
soaplyes (capacity 48 t/24h). The plant includes units for the
chemical depuration and concentration (double effect with
thermocompressor) of the soaplyes; the final stage, consisting
of glycerine distillation & bleaching unit, is capable of
producing glycerine of pharmaceutical grade, complying with
the specifications of the European (EP) or American (USP)
Pharmacopeia. The start-up of the plant is expected to be
carried out in the first months of year 2007.

Mexico

GIANAZZA Engineering signed a contract with one of the most

important Mexican fatty acids producers for the complete
revamping of a fatty acids splitting and distillation plant
(CONTIPERCOL type); by means of the most up-to-date
technologies, this project will allow the increase of the plant
capacity from the current 50 t/24 h up to 72 t/24h. The
revamping will also grant a considerable improvement in the
yield and quality of distilled fatty acids.

A new plant for the pre-treatment and bleaching of edible oil

(capacity 300 t/24h), equipped with special ROTOFILTERMETIC
filters was delivered; these filters are designed to recover the oil
from spent bleaching earths by means of hexane so that the
spent deoiled and desolventized earths can be directly sent to
disposal.

A glycerine distillation plant, previously supplied by our

company, has been completed with a line for the pre-
treatment of crude glycerine from Biodiesel (capacity 36
t/24h). This pre-treatment consists in a chemical depuration,
filtration and a double effect concentration unit.

Nigeria

After successful erection, GIANAZZA Engineering is now

proceeding to start-up a plant for physical refining of palm oil
(capacity 100 t/24h), including a dry degumming/bleaching
unit and a stripping/deodorizing unit (PHYSITRON CSF type) with
flash distillation column. The plant is also provided with a dry
fractionation line for refined palm oil (with same capacity) des-
tined to production of olein with an I.V. of 57 and a yield of 80%
approx.
