Relief Valves of ≤ 1.5 inches, Monoflange Valves, Orifice Plate & Flange all stud and anchor bolts,
control valve, including instrument bulks materials such cable glands, etc. shall be stored in this
condition.
1.02 Control Valves should be stored in a vertical position. If a valve is in a horizontal position store on a Ongoing
pallet rack.
1.03 Material stored outside shall be well covered such as tarpaulin to prevent rain water, particle/dust Ongoing
and dirt from accumulating. Material shall be laid on wooden beams clearly above soil and shall be
stacked in a slope for facilitate self-draining. Materials shall not touch ground or water pool at any
case. The following material shall be stored in this condition:
- Pressure Relief Valves of > 1.5 inches.
1.04 Pressure Relief valves, once calibrated and certified, shall be stored inside in an upright position, Ongoing
bolted down to a pallet to prevent them from being laid down during storage and transportation for
installation.
1.05 Ongoing
Equipment stored outside and/or mounted on the skid and at the same time the package shelter
construction is still not finished; equipment shall be well covered such as tarpaulin to prevent rain
water, particle/dust and dirt from accumulating. Equipment shall sit on hard standing or on pallets.
1.06 For instrument equipment stored indoor, small amounts of desiccant should be placed in the Ongoing
instrument cases or shipping boxes for high possibility of humidity inside warehouse. It may be
necessary to seal both the instrument and the desiccant in a plastic bag. Care should be taken so
that the desiccant does not contact any wiring or electronic parts.
1.07 All valves shall be properly tagged, identified and stored in the warehouse. The 316-stainless steel Ongoing
tags shall be used to tag valves.
1.08 All flanged openings shall be provided with metal gasket or substantial wood closures (3/4” Ongoing
thickness minimum) and at least four full diameter bolts to protect the flanges from damage and
prevent the entry of dirt and moisture to the equipment interior. Wooden covers should not directly
in contact with flange surfaces. Plastic sheet, rubber sheet, or equal shall be placed in between.
Wooden cover shall not be used for extended outdoor storage more than 3 months.
1.09 Plastic wrapping shall be removed for outdoor storage. Ongoing
1.10 Confirm that all necessary covers, end caps and plugs are in position on cables, tubing ends and Ongoing
associated control equipment. Replace any missing covers, plugs, caps, etc.
1.11 Confirm all instruments on valves or panels are in good condition with no visible damage. Ongoing
1.12 Check for physical damage and damage of preservation protection. Ongoing
1.13 For manual valves, soft seated ball and plug valves shall be stored in closed position. Ongoing
1.14 Confirm actuator gear box is preserved. Ongoing
1.15 Confirm actuator bleed holes and blind threaded holes are plugged. Ongoing
1.16 All panel fronts, gauges and in line instrumentation adequately protected from construction activity. Ongoing
1.17 Ensure equipment that is installed is protected suitably from any ongoing construction activities to Ongoing
prevent any damage.
1.18 Confirm preservation tag or label is fitted & updated. Ongoing

2 WEEKLY INSPECTION CHECK LIST
