VIDEO ANALYSIS

Dr. Kang, a military doctor, was asked in to treat and examine victims injured and
involved in the accident. When she was in the area when the disaster occurred, she
went to Mr. Koh, who had a concrete chunk stuck on his upper portion of his body,
causing him to be unable to move, and a man who had a massive metal penetrated in
his body.

Dr. Kang had no idea that the two situations were connected. If the concrete chunk that
is stuck to Mr. Koh’s body is raised, the iron that has penetrated to the other man's body
will be raised as well, and half of his body may be torn and the spine damaged, causing
him to die. If the situation is reversed and the man who has penetrated steel in his body
is the first to be saved, and the steel frame is cut, the weight of the concrete chun stuck
in Mr. Koh's body will be heavier or increased, leading him to be unable to move and
die. That is why Dr. Kang must make a decision, which of the two will he save, because
saving one requires the death of the other. It is difficult for Dr. Kang to choose between
the two because they both rely on Dr. Kang to get out of that situation. This is where the
principle of double effect comes into play, where even if you chose one, there will be
one that suffers more or die in order to save the other.
