Composition
A village market
A village market is a place where the villagers meet to
buy and sell things. It is a buying and selling center for
the villagers. Generally, it sits every morning. Besides,
big markets sit once or twice a week.
A village market generally stands at a place where
people can easily come for buying and selling things.
So it usually stands at the junction of roads or by the
side of a river or a canal. Large banyan trees are let
grown to give shade and shelter.
There are two kinds of the village market. They are a
daily market and a weekly market. The daily market is
called “Bazar’.
A village market has three parts like open space,
temporary shed, and permanent shed. In the open space,
the sellers sit in rows. Fish, milk, fruits, betel leaves,
vegetables, etc. are sold here. In the temporary sheds
oil, rice, salt, etc. are sold. Grocers, tailors, doctors, and
some others sit in the permanent shed.
The village market is very useful to the villagers. Here
they get all things of their daily use. It saves the
villagers from going to distant places to buy things. It is
the meeting place of the villagers.  which he always remains in want and poverty. We hope
A village market has some disadvantages too. It is a
noisy and unhealthy (অস্বাস্থ্যকর) place. Due to lack of
cleanliness, it often turns into an unhygienic place.
A village market does great service to the rural people.
It is the backbone (মেরুদন্ড) of the rural economy (গ্রাম্য
অর্থনীতি).
A Postman
A postman is a very familiar person in our society. He
brings us news from our near and dear ones living in
distant places. He is known to all sections of people for
his useful services.
Even a child can instantly recognize him when he
knocks at the door.
A postman is known to us all for his traditional uniform
and dress. He usually wears a khaki uniform supplied
by the postal department. He always carries a bag on
his shoulder containing letters, money orders, parcels,
and other postal articles for delivery.
A postman is very punctual, sincere, honest, and hard-
working. The postman performs a lot of duties. His
daily work begins in the post office with the sorting of
letters, parcels, money orders, etc. Before he goes out
on his beat, he collects letters, parcels, money orders,
etc. from the post office. The postman in a town goes
from house to house to deliver them to the addresses.
He drops the letters through some openings of the door.
A village postman comes to the market place on ‘hat’
day and delivers letters, parcels, money orders, etc. to
their addressees.
A postman is a good man and a good friend to us. He
brings news from our friends and relatives. He never
neglects his duties.
We always wait for him and hope that he will bring
some good news for us. Sometimes, he brings bad news
and makes us unhappy and sad. But our heart fills with
joy and pleasure when he brings good news to us. This
is why the postman is always welcomed by all.
A postman is a very helpful person to us. But it is a
matter of great regret that he gets a very poor salary for
our government should take proper steps to improve his
lot.
Modern Science
We live in an age of science. We can see the wonders
of science around us. Science has made our life easy
and comfortable. We cannot think of our modern life
without science.
The first wonder of modern science is the discovery of
electricity. It has changed our life, society and culture.
It is a great source of power and energy. The radio,
television, lights, fans eclectic irons, mills, factories,
and refrigerators- all work through the power of
electricity.
Science has linked up the distant parts of the world.
Telephone, telex, fax, wireless, telegrams are great
wonders. They have brought the world the closer to us.
We can send news from one corner of the world to
other within a moment.
Science has discovered many wonders for our
recreation. We have cinema, television, radio and tape
recorder, CD, DVD and VCR etc for our recreation.
Science has lessened human sufferings. It has given
eyes to the blind, hearing to the deaf, legs to the lame. It
has found out the new ways of health and life.
Science has removed the distance of place. It has saved
time. We can travel hundreds of miles within a short
time by car, aero plane, bus, train, launch, and steamer.

landed on the moon successfully.
Science is the greatest of all conquerors both past and
present. It knows no defeat. It has established itself
firmly in our heart.
