Objective of the Study

This capstone project aims to create a web-based and mobile based system that will be

the primary platform to address the need of Emergency Institutions and Citizens during

emergency situations.

Generally, the capstone project aims to:

Develop an Emergency Locator so that it will give the emergency responders, and

citizens of the Municipality of San Nicolas an alternative and efficient way of responding in

times of crisis or emergency situations.

Specifically, this capstone project aims to:

● To develop a system that can direct the information of the emergency

situation in the proper institution.

● Make a system that can locate the nearest responders from the citizens

location and receive the distress signal

● To give detailed reports of the citizens of their GPS coordinates, personal

data, and types of emergency whether it is crime related, fire related,

accident/medical related or flood related incident.

● The nearest barangay responders will receive the reports and immediately

respond to the situation.

● The scope of this capstone project is focused on making an

application software that can efficiently get the current longitude and

latitude or the nearest possible location of the user or citizens just by

clicking a button and sending it to the emergency institution server from

the sender’s current location. The user can also choose the type of

emergency situation they are in from the application software so that the

server can easily recognize what types of emergency whether is crime

related, fire related, accident/medical related or flood related incident they

have and make a vivid decision on what kind of support they can send.

● Delimitation

● This capstone project aimed to help users in sending his/her

emergency situation in the application software and relay the address to

the server. The address will be derived from the google maps and the

accuracy and efficiency of the address will be based on the generated

address from the reverse geocoding. The system will simply focus on

relaying and receiving data from the user to the server.
